Rudy picks up a major endorsement from the hater crowd!
Posted by snark at November 7, 2007 08:24 AMSteve, you seem to have missed the "swift boating" of HC in the last debate by the guys on stage.
Posted by peter at November 7, 2007 08:32 AMBeat me to it, snark. So Evil Uncle Chuckles Pat Robertson has decided that getting his religious war on is way more important than saving families from teh gaii, huh? Priorities, man.
Posted by iamcoyote at November 7, 2007 08:41 AMI didn't miss it Peter, I just think that Bill's BS wasn't worthy of a comment. I may post on it later, but to claim that attempts by the media and her Democratic opponents to pin Hillary down and debate the issues is similar to what the Swifties did to Kerry is ludicrous. Bill was wrong to make such a comparison, which they are clearly doing to scare off future attempts to do it again.
Posted by Steve Soto at November 7, 2007 08:42 AMDid everyone see that Pervez is arguing that his suspension of the constitution was just like what Abraham Lincoln did----the wingnut "argument" for Nero's War on the Constitution?
Funny, funny stuff. Think many of "the Paks" were able to follow the Lincoln reference?
Posted by euzoius at November 7, 2007 09:12 AMhas anyone noticed the Media's tendency to call Bush veto's a "victory for Bush" ? What a rigged game.
Posted by T2 at November 7, 2007 09:36 AMWow, so much to talk about here! Feinstein cutting a deal with Schumer regarding Mukasey really pisses me off. And no, Steve, it won't be forgotten.
What the hell is the story in Pakistan? Bush hasn't even TALKED to him? He's satisfied with Condi representin' us? Something doesn't seem right with this picture, as usual. And yeah, euzoius, I did see that he compared himself with Abe. I'm almost numb, the level of stupidity that the daily news brings us. And not Comfortably Numb, either, Pink.
Rudy has no message. Does anyone have any doubt that Hillary would completely slay him in a debate? Not that it would ensure victory, of course, but it would be fun to watch. And he picks up Robertson. So now the religious wackos have split, because Mitt picked up some nutjob last week. Bob Taylor? I know he got anti-abortionist leader Jack Willke, too.

More on the HC, Rasmussen has the NH race tightening post debate from 16 points before to 10 points after. Seems 70% are against the licensing of undocumenteds.
Posted by peter at November 7, 2007 09:40 AMSteve,
Bush must be really pissed at Musharraf. Remember, he feels that the best way to get someone to change their behavior is to refuse to talk to them (i.e., North Korea). Reminds me of my 5-year-old daughter...I don't like what you are saying (doing) so I'm not gonna listen!
Posted by the professor at November 7, 2007 09:48 AMMarket is crashing.
Posted by euzoius at November 7, 2007 09:49 AMBill was wrong to make such a comparison
Which is exactly what Hillary's campaign has said, so the only ones left finding this "story" worth discussing are the freepers who just can't seem to get enough of Bubba. Idiots.
Posted by iamcoyote at November 7, 2007 09:51 AMWell, can I assume that Schumer and Feinstein agree with the Imperial President concept? Sure appears to be the case.
Posted by Judith at November 7, 2007 10:18 AMBush is watching the "Paks" and taking notes on how to suspend the Constitution, install martial law, close down the Internet and press, and arrest those who protest.
Posted by Judith at November 7, 2007 10:22 AMJudith....I'm sure our government has it's own idea of procedure, but you might be onto something. Sort of watching it like a petri dish.
Posted by Jeff Dinelli at November 7, 2007 11:23 AMSchumer and Feinstein didn't 'cave'. They agreed to provide political cover for a Democratic Senate that is pretty much complicit or in full agreement with pretty much everything that has occured since the Neocons came to office.
Everytime 'left-leaning' blogs mark them incompetent or weak you help hide these charlatan's true values. The Democratic Party is not a party of opposition.

"All U.S. Government agencies and personnel, and not just America's military forces, must abide by both the spirit and letter of the controlling provisions of international law. Cruelty and torture - no less than wanton killing - is neither justified not legal in any circumstance."

Senators Feinstein and Schumer and their 9 Republican soulmates on the SJC apparently have other priorities to protect and defend than the Constitution, US Code, applicable international laws and the moral authority accruing from their faithful observance. David Addington should at least permit them to kiss his ring provided, of course, they properly bow or curtsey and genuflect in deference to his superior station.
Although Willie, Joe and the other dogfaces running the risks of our bipartisan military fiascos probably have something else they could kiss.
Tampa Student: "Schumer and Feinstein didn't 'cave'. They agreed to provide political cover for a Democratic Senate that is pretty much complicit or in full agreement with pretty much everything that has occured since the Neocons came to office."
yep, sooner or later Democratic "spinelessness" and/or "incompetence" becomes complicity
