Comments: Stick A Fork In David Broder

Broder is no different than dozens like him. These people work for giant corporations that are strongly aligned with the Right. The corporations hire people to write/report and expect them to do so in a manner consistent with the corporate aim and philosophy. It's called being a shill. When the don't toe the line (dan rather) they are canned.

The reason journalists must cover the Clinton marriage with such tenacity is because in the end, Hillary did what the Christians spout all day about - she didn't get a divorce, and she forgave him. That's just too Jesus-like for the Right coming from someone on the Left.

David S. Broder: Born SEPTEMBER 11th, 1929.

Born on the day of the terrorist attacks in the year the stock market crashed. This man is the DEVIL! THE DEVIL I SAY!!!

Oh, and don't forget the marital loyal McCain dumped his wife after she was in a very serious car crash and ended up 5 inches shorter.

This is the corporate MSM. They have been utterly inconsistent in "treatment" of candidates/presidents and pro-Repub for over 15 years.

Of course they weren't going to cover the Guiliani marriages/divorces/affairs like they did the Clinton's or any other Dem.

That's the lay of the land in BushAmerica. Your lib'rul media....

moving away from the Blowhard Broder to the big news today:
The Dem Congress is sending Bush a bill with a troop withdrawal clause in it. Oddly, reports out of the Pentagon say that in fact a draw down has begun, with the goal of being some 30-40k troops less by late summer (in time for the election, of course). This gives Bush the opportunity to give a present to the GOP- sign the bill instead of vetoing it. He'd get the money for another few months of War, the troops that are coming home anyway would let him say the Surge worked and withdrawal has started and the poor GOP candidates could go into the election declaring victory in Iraq. The Dems, meanwhile would have given Bush more money to fight the war, again, and would have no ammunition to fight Bush when he asks for more money a few months down the road. And Bush would still have 120k troops in Iraq when he leaves office.

"In the United States of America, we are taught from birth that our press is free from such government meddling. This is an insideous lie about the very nature of the news institution in this country. One that allows the government to lie to us while denying the very fact of the lie itself."

Ever hear of the Mockingbird Scandal? Our media is completely controlled and the pressure has been and continues to be, to paint the Democratics in a negative light. So, what's new? What do you expect from a "liberal media?"

David Broder is an old fart who was always boring and still is. His love affair with Karl Rove and his loving fondness for George w. has never been hidden, and certainly has colored his journalistic endeavors.
