Comments: Morning Update

I'm sure the GOPers will scream bloody murder over the $20,000 price tag thing....well tough booty to them. If the Dems don't make use of that figure in every campaign commercial they record, they are idiots. And as for the tough talk from Reid on the war money...Bush will hit back hard, but Reid just needs to respond thusly: "the President wants all American families to add to the $20,000 he's already cost them in Iraq. Is that what you folks really want?"

You know Steve the more things change the more they stay the same.......while we get caught up in pre-election dithering it appears the old slime seems to slither back under the doorway, "Thank you for seeing me," from General Odierno to Ahmed Chalabi, says it all to me...........imagine the second in command in Iraq requesting a meeting with this cheap swindler......that's my rant for the week!!!

They can investigate all they want, the chimp still has a whole stack of "Get Out of Jail Free" cards left over from the Plame blame game travesty.

I am sure that all this tough talk from Reid and Pelosi does not mean much. They will back down as always and Bush and Repubs will have their way. Theere is no backbone to these Dems. Count on that.

Regarding the possibility of a GOP filibuster to kill the Dem "withdrawal money" bill. The GOP leaders are now saying that it would be ridiculous to call for a withdrawal now, since its "clear" that the Surge is working. I'm sorry GOPers, but that was exactly what a successful Surge was supposed to result in, according to God's General P-trayus and God's president Bush. Remember "Return on Success" ????? Maybe McConnell and Graham should take a memory pill....worthless hypocrites. Note to Harry Reid: Return on Success - jam it down their throats, dummy.

Surge, my ass. The only reason for fewer US casualties is they've increased air strikes a couple hundred percent over last year, and there aren't many more Iraqis left to kill or be insurgent.

"...imagine the second in command in Iraq requesting a meeting with this cheap swindler"

Come on! Scum attracts scum. They belong together. One's a mass murderer, a destroyer of lives, and a liar, the other is - well, what he is.

One of the reasons that violence is down in Iraq is that the Mahdi Army stood down at the end of August for a six-month restructuring. One may presume that preparations are being made by al-Sadr to resume operations against Coalition Forces at the time of his choosing.

Now is the time to declare victory and pull forces out of Iraq. It is only going to get more sanguine and costly come Spring.
