As I suspected. And probably the Bushies did too. Notice the !Attack Iran! rhetoric has cooled a bit. China's already said they think more harsh sanctions are counterproductive, and Russia's getting ready to finish up on the Bushehr plant.
Posted by iamcoyote at November 15, 2007 09:26 AMBush was just on cable news holding forth on emergency plans to help holiday air travel. No, you still have to have your shoes examined. But a more dull, uninspired, performance I've never seen on a public stage. The speech-writing was terribly detailed- not a Bush trait - and it induced a rambling recitation, full of his usual oddly timed pauses and grins and fake Texas lingo. I literally couldn't watch it, my mind just wandered off. I have no idea what he said or what his plans were except something about having the internets let you know if flights are late (they already do, George) and letting commercial airlines fly through areas usually off-limits for military reasons. That doesn't sound like a good idea?
Posted by T2 at November 15, 2007 11:27 AMAfter Wilson told the truth about yellow cake, Bushco may have figured Valerie would do the same about Iran and ruin their upcoming crusade plans.
The blonde nuclear bombshell finder had to go.
Posted by TIKI AL at November 15, 2007 01:04 PMThere's no doubt in my mind that rolling up Brewster-Jennings was a calculated move to eliminate any possiblity of credible counter arguments to the Neocon's pro-Iran war propaganda.
There has been no evidence that Iran is enriching uranium for anything other than fuel for a nuclear power plant. The way to get them to control hard-liners in Iran who may want nuclear weapons is to engauge them in a constructive way.
Additionally, diplomatic moves to make the ME a nuclear free zone (including Israel) would go a long way toward slowing down the desire for other countries in the region to aquire nukes.

And what was Valerie Plame’s CIA front company Brewster Jennings working on at the time the Bush Administration sacrificed their cover?
Ha, ha, ha! Where did you get that from?!
