she'll still be getting paid by the US Taxpayer and laughing all the way to the bank.

From the headline I thought you were talking about Fran Townsend.

She's leaving to spend more time...grubbing money in the private sector FOR her kids.

yes TIKI, the description "Hack" and the Bush Administration are synonymous.

One of the top priorities of the Democrat, and it will be a Democrat, elected next year as president will be to rid the federal bureauracy of Bushite parasites. There are plenty of Monica Goodlings and Rachel Paulose's in place and willing to sabotage the will of the people if left unchecked. It will have to be a priority, Bushite hacks are like cancer cells inside the bureaucracy.

herbal tee is of course correct, but you're going to find that civil service rules don't allow one simply to get rid of Bushist partisan hacks hired over the past 8 years. The cancer will simply grow and spread.

The federal bureaucracy has been effectively destroyed, another irreversible casualty of Bushism and "conservatism". DOJ is probably in the worst condition of all.

Thanks to the Unitary Supreme Commander powers established by Bush-Cheney, when the new Dem Pres takes the oath they can dam well fire, send to Gitmo, torture or execute any republican they want.

I'm leaning towards the Benito piano wire thingy.

Borrowing a term from a stalwert republican; Bitch, don't let the door hit you in the ass. I never use that term, except if I'm talking about dogs. But since McCain apparently believes it is ok, I feel I can use it just this once, especially in reference to this particular person. And her former boss, and his former boss.

TIKI AL, are you kidding? The moment a Democratic President takes office, all that is off the table. The Republicans will be screaming about the president having too much power. You watch.

Actually you can get rid of political hacks in a government workforce within the rules for civil service. It takes some time and work and the will to do it. It's kinda fun and perfectly legal. The other employees who resent them mightily help without being asked. It is often an informal group effort. I made the civil service rules work for the agency, not the hacks.
