All I need is blogs, my comments are all anyone needs to know about me. I think I still have a myspace page somewhere, coz I was interested in a movie once. Haven't been there for ages.

Nice piece, paradox. I know what you mean about the rush when you meet or "meet" someone you've considered a star in our particular world. I was thrilled when I shook Marcy Wheeler's hand and when I finally got to say hi face to face with Digby. Making friends via the internet is pretty damn amazing. Social networks are really powerful. (And boy, do I need to do more social networking....)
