Comments: Going For The Trifecta In Iowa

That's funny, Steve, I thought of your advice, "move from wallstreet to mainstreet", immediately when I read that article. I actually think Hillary is very sincere. She touches on a new theory of comparative advantage put forth by a nobel winning economist. This is one thing that really seperates Hillary from out current President. She takes in new information. Anyway, we don't know what will happen in Iowa, but she's really working to win it. I didn't think she should "go negative" on Obama at first, but really the last several months of his campaign has been an ongoing attack on her character, and I do think she needs to point out his hypocrisy, while also showing her stregths.

I wouldn't get too confident about that AP poll.

Its interviews were conducted from Nov. 7 to the 25th.

In other words, it was outdated before its last interview was completed.

"all Democrats will get us out of Iraq and avoid a war with Iran" - Is that so? That's good...although I'm curious...why would we choose to go to war with Iran? Our Intel Chief confirms today that Iran shut it's nuke factory down years ago. And they've quit supplying arms across the border to Iraq, according to our Generals on the Ground. The only reason left is they are brown and don't like the Saudi's or Israeli's....I guess that's enough for Bush/Cheney.

So Geek, because the Des Moines Register poll is only three days newer than the Pew poll, you choose to believe the DMR poll and dismiss the poll done by a nationally reputable firm that has a high degree of accuracy.

I see.

No Steve, I'd think the local poll over a shorter period has way more bonifides than the AP/PEW poll. Just think how "old" data from the beginning is. Take it for what its worth.

As far as keeping war in Iran from starting, it would seem the release of the NIE or whatever it's called would invalidate that need. Sure that Sense of the Senate is still in effect, but with SecDef Gates around????

Steve:

The AP Poll started 26 days ago and ended 8 days ago.

The DMR poll started after the AP poll was completed.

If anything, the AP poll combined with the DMR poll shows a negative trend for Clinton.

Obama narrative: The audacity of hope. The fierce urgency of now. The unbridled writing of speeches. The emptiness of rhetoric. Oprah!

By the way, Sen Clinton's punch today was very substantive and policy connected. Works for me.

As one who does not support Hillary I heartily encourage you to follow Rove's, err, "teachings."

Posted by Heimyankel at December 3, 2007 11:25 PM

You're implying Clinton is doing well by mimicing Rove's tactics? The same Rove who masterminded the greatest political debacle in history and whose tactics led his party to an organizational shambles? Great role model
