I like Brown, at least compared to the vaporous Blair.

But I really like Clare Short's comment from the early 90's,

The only thing wrong with New Labour is the word "New".

It would be interesting to see what the Lib. Dems would do.

this is a little stretch for this thread, but I can't pass up the opportunity to recommend a Op/Ed in the Philadelphia Inquirer today by a guy named Kevin Ferris. This guy must be an out of work Hollywood comedy writer. His piece today argues that we, the American people, should be counting our blessings to have such a great leader in wartime as George W. Bush. It has to be a parody..has to be. Check it out. Very hilarious.

Maybe it is a brilliant move. Brown could use Shrum as a negative indicator...you know: do the opposite of what Shrum says.
