Comments: Agree or Disagree

I absolutely agree and have had pitchforks and torches standing by for several years now.

You may want to send a copy of this work to Chris Dodd, who I hear, is looking for some material for a good old fashioned filibuster tomorrow.

That would be the perfect opportunity to force Congress to listen to the long list of their own crimes.

C-SPAN should be ready for that closeup shot slowly panning across the disgraced faces of our Countries rotten leadership.

I think I hear a tree falling in the woods.

Remember this is Harry Reid pushing this, though Mitch McConnell would have liked to. And did y'all see the piece from Cindy Sheehan wanting to impeach Nancy Pelosi for collaboration with the Bush Admin.? Maybe y'all could begin expulsion hearings instead.

Just a bunch of cats, this Democratic Leadersheep.

Ok, cats. So we got cats.

Every furry one better be scratching like hell and if not we stomp on their tail a bit and if need be there are plenty more to replace them.

Cats have claws and they need to use them.

I would rather have a pack of Rotwiellers but even so,

the lemmings are no match for cats.

It would a mistake to associate my castigation of the current incompletely-suitable selection of current and aspiring Democratic leaders with a call for unilateral political disarmament.

Oh, no.

I'm handing out guns and ammo, so to speak, to the people who have been taken for granted by said (cough) leaders for far too long.

While I want the Democratic committee chairs and it's leadership to do more, faster. I don't see it happening. For some reason the Dino Dems are satisfied with the status quo and playing politics as usual. All the while we have a dishonest, scheming republi-con minority who will be voted out in the next election for not helping the Democrats achieve the people's agenda it was elected for.

Let me show you some stats from Campaign for America's Future:

As of July 23rd, 2007 there had been almost 3 times as many cloture votes than the previous 17 congresses!! Now how does a simpleton, neo-con, knuckle dragger not see Republi-con obstruction? They are fighting the weak Democratic leadership every step of the way.

Add to this the threat of a bu$h'$ pResidential veto and there is no wonder why our government is crawling. Yet, because the Democrats took the election last year they are taking the heat in the MSM for nothing getting done.

Let's take a look at bu$h veto threats, once again, from Campaign for America's Future:

HR 2669 College Cost Reduction Act of 2008 7/10/07

That was just from July, 2007. I lost track after counting over 75 Bills that bu$h has threatened to veto since the Democrats have taken office!

Now please, tell me again, who is not cooperating with the other party?

Plain and simple the Democrats are putting up good laws to be voted on. They are doing their job. The republi-cons need to get out the way, let the Dems lead and do the job the American people asked them to do.

Can the Democrats do more? Of course! Do their numbers in the polls reflect this? Yes. But not as bad as the republi-con numbers! Obstructing republi-cons will continue to lose more elections in the future.

I'd love for the weak Democrats to stand up to bu$h and stop the minority from getting it's way but it will never happen as long as the Dems are facing the threat of a pResidential veto, Republi-con filibuster in the Senate, while treading lightly so they don't lose the election next year.

"All the while we have a dishonest, scheming republi-con minority who will be voted out in the next election for not helping the Democrats achieve the people's agenda it was elected for."

Are you sure Seven?

The only way to get voted out of the minority is to be voted into the majority. Could happen in the House, doubtful in the Senate.

Kudos to Majority Leader Harry Reid for making the Intel Cmt version of the FISA bill the base bill instead of the much weaker Judiciary version. What they quickly fixed last August gets this admin even more when thought out. Wow, from your own leadersheep too. More great reasons to vote Democratic.

And then there's the penalty for MoveOn pushing Lieberman out of the party. He's indorsing McCain today telling Democrats its Ok to vote Republican. Thanks MoveOn, keep up the good work for Republicans.

Agree.

When a rep or sen walks off the floor and having a press conference saying, "Voting for or against this bill screws America." I'll start to consider disagreeing.

If she uses the phrase, false dilemma, I'll really perk up.

Yeah, should have read: "All the while we have a dishonest, scheming republi-con minority who will continued to be voted out in the next election for not helping the Democrats achieve the people's agenda it was elected for."

Check the link for polling data. The public knows the republi-con's are the obstructionists.
Please, keep it going petey, your party is toast next election!

Not that I have much faith in Reid's statement but his site did post this:

“Senators Specter, Feinstein, Whitehouse and others are working to craft a compromise that might give the phone companies some relief – but allow the lawsuits to go forward in a manner that would preserve accountability. In one way or another, we must ensure that President Bush is held accountable for his actions. It is important for the Senate to complete work on this bill next week to allow time for the Senate and House to produce a final bill. Our ultimate goal is a bill that commands broad bipartisan support in the Congress and in the country. The process I just outlined offers us the best opportunity to do so.”

Fuck 'loserman'!
