I'm not going to applaud Obama for this after everything he's done: allowing baseless, inflammatory charges to poison the primary process all for his ambition is too much. The double standards have been most glaring not only in the press but on most so-called progressive blogs (Even that wretched Johnson, a Clinton supporter, got more flak than Dyson's remarks that any criticism of Obama is "racial in subtext"). Clinton gets slammed for someone taking her husband's quote out of context and Obama is not even scratched when his national co-chair makes inflammatory comments about Clinton on national TV. Unbelievable.

Axelrod and Obama are not kidding when it comes to hardball. Since all the heat was on the Clintons, Obama's "truce" makes him look all the more classy, when it was his campaign that pushed these racially distorted comments (see: South Carolina primary memo on Huffington). Obama gets to look like he's so "above it all" when he's succeeded in not only drop-kicking any momentum Clinton had after NH, but also smearing the Clintons as racists so that even if she somehow wins the nomination (highly doubtful), it'll be crippled from the start.

Disgusting. The Clintons are many things but politically suicidal is not one of them; to think they would've been remotely interested in even doing anything that would risk their momentum, let alone demonize her any more is truly delusional.

"...our children win." God this site is nauseating.

So why do you post here, Green Heron?

Beacause this blog has become a Clinton propaganda rag, and I feel it's my resposibility to warn morons like you.

Mary, awfully glad to learn that apparently sanity is trying to get hold of some heads that were starting to get too bloody hot for their own good. Actually, the time was more than plenty for all good souls to come to the aid of their party, one should think, since failure to so do was starting to look to the many (the hordes of plain folk out there?), as if the plan put into motion by those running on the democratic platform was to hand the WH on a platter to the other dudes.

Anyway, since platitudes can be so handy when shenanigans defy us, I’d like to remind us hordes of plain folk out there, of a lil’ something that apparently Ivern Ball said (and which perhaps Obama and Clinton finally took to heart as well?). Yep, that “Most of us can read the writing on the wall; we just assume it’s addressed to someone else.” which I believe goes to show that the ancient art of learning to read tea leaves may be somewhat underrated!;-)

Yes, after almost 8 years of what history will judge as the the most greedy, powermongering, ruthless, amoral, and corrupt administration aka the Worst administration Ever in Cheney/Bushco, for whom 99% of us here most likely never voted for, we need green heron here to warn us about certain Democrats....good one. Gawd, the stoopid and flippantly arrogant together it burns.

Now perhaps if you had said you're here to provide some much needed comic relief green heron....

"Beacause this blog has become a Clinton propaganda rag, and I feel it's my resposibility to warn morons like you."

No, it is Steve Soto's responsibility, and your no Steve.

Now, if the media will let it go.

Now, if the media will let it go.

Nope, they won't. I'm watching the weather (an ice/snow morning), and the political news blurbs are trying to fan it back to life by saying Hillary called the truce because she's losing in SC. I thought Obama called it first? Anyhow, the "news" jerks are panicking. What will they have to talk about now? The issues?? The horror!

It seems the Media is working overtime to convince everyone that Iraq is a success, and we can move on to the Economy. All the usual suspects have jumped on board that train. But the real truth, of course, is that Iraq is a disaster that has claimed almost 4000 American lives and probably 200,000 Iraqi lives, not to mention crippling their way of life and infrastructure. That does not add up to success at all. But what it does add up to is a crippled US Economy when the bills for Iraq come due. You won't hear any of the candidates, GOP or Dem discuss that, mainly because they all contributed to the funding of the War, every dime Bush has demanded. The economy sucks now because the US Government allowed mortage lenders to engage in shady practices at the expense of, well, not very bright new home buyers and because the GOP cut taxes then went to War...causing a huge money crunch the extent of which will not be fully felt for years. And the US Government has refused to force Big Oil to expand refining capacity with the massive profits they have made over the last few years. In short, the Economy sucks because of the Bush Administration's screw ups.

We need to apply multiple tubes of Blue Ointment to the talking head-lice that are STILL perpetuating this contrived "race war" this morning on MSNBC.

Can you picture Joe Scarborough on his back on the floor of Morning Shmoe wiggling his arms and legs in the air like a cockroach?

Is it my imagination, or have the shit-stirrers seemed to crank it up another notch in the last 18 hours?

Posted by idiosynchronic at January 15, 2008 08:21 AM

You got that right Idio. My wife made that comment watching last nights news.

If the shit is not stirred up... I guess I'll have to quit commenting! Wish a bunch of others would do the same.

The candidates are trying hard to put a lid on it, but the media, and specifically MSNBC, seems to have decided that an all out race war would be GREAT entertainment. They are pushing it for all they are worth, and expect them to do the same in tonight's debate.

Big Media disgusts me.
