When George Bush held potemkin events he deserved to catch flak.
When Hillary staged potemkin events she deserved to catch flak.
When Obama stages potemkin events he deserves to catch flak.
I get it that Hillary's supporters get frustrated that Obama doesn't catch as much flak as she does, but give him a break. The Clintons have a history of phony political stunts while Obama is a newcomer (but he is making up for lost time like a champ).
I wonder if the reason that Hillary keeps rising in the polls everytime the media critizies her, is because we Democrats have had to learn not to believe everything we hear in the news media due to Fox News....Sad but at least Hillary has a ton of loyalty out there to help her...
Posted by athyrio at January 25, 2008 09:11 PMFights with Obama has certainly accomplished one thing. It has tarnished that halo that sat on top of his head. He is beginning to look like any other politician and he has tried to project just the opposite. The "different" kind of politician turns out to the same "old" style politician. Maybe the Hillary campaign is on to something.

please don't scare the obama supporters, but it's almost as if he were a politician!
Posted by Turkana at January 25, 2008 10:19 PMeriposte,
Just wanted to let you know, you really are top notch in your fact finding ability....and that if ever I needed someone to help me get my candidate elected I'd want you on my side. I'm sure your abilities in this area will be put to great use in the general election against repukes too....and I look forward to it. You are a great myth debunker.
Judith nails it...he's just another politician....and all his gifted eloquence as an orator can't hide or overcome that obvious flaw.
Having said that, I'll still take him anyday over any republican that is currently running....anyday....Despite all the flaws and imperfections.
Posted by emal at January 26, 2008 05:28 AMI give credence to the first comment at the end of the CBS story -- Camille was removed from the table at the request of her father.
Posted by Josh at January 26, 2008 05:01 PMI live in Charleston and I know the family in question. Camille was taken out of the restaurant because her parents understood her reaction to the new place and new people; like everything they do for their daughter, it was protective of her. Please don't use this situation to spread false information about Obama's campaign.
