Comments: "Is the Primary Over?" Open Thread

I stumbled onto this site by accident and read the following article entitled The Indelible Evil of this War with tears in my eyes. This War is not a priority for any candidate whether Republican or Democrat. How can we move forward as a Nation, when we are drowning in this immoral abyss?

The Indelible Evil of this War

Beat! beat! drums! - blow! bugles! blow!
Through the windows - through doors - burst like a ruthless force,
Into the solemn church, and scatter the congregation,
Into the school where the scholar is studying;
Leave not the bridegroom quiet -
no happiness must he have now with his bride,
Nor the peaceful farmer any peace,
ploughing his field or gathering his grain,
So fierce you whirr and pound you drums - so shrill you bugles blow.
Walt Whitman

No, the primary ain't over, but thank God that nauseating republican "debate" is!

McLame actually said we are "better off overall" than we were 8 years ago!

"War keeps us safe! 100 more years! 100 more years!"

"It's not that rich men owned slaves," she adds, "but that slaves made men rich."

Family confronts the North's slave-trading past

this documentary will show on PBS' Point of View (POV) sometime soon.

it reminds me of repukes, and of present-day big corporations. Profits over people.

Anyone see 'There Will be Blood?' Greed always trumps over people. Good movie if you haven't seen it.

I hate Fox News, but they are doing a segment on all the cats and dogs that are being left behind in the foreclosed homes.

On that point, good for them, and I curse those who leave their pets behind.
