"a nauseating unending horror show" that makes "Saw I,II,III, and IV" look like "Sesame Street".

Rioting in the streets of Washington DC might just be the only thing that would make the Coward King recall the troops from Iraq.

Nice post, para. I suggest that the reason we're not seeing protests is that many of the disaffected are in prison. The youth poverty contingent who would be protesting are likely in the justice system owing to the draconian laws regarding substance use. The others are going to college or working 3 part-time jobs to make ends meet, or both.

There are venues for youth. MTVs Closing Arguments: A Presidential Super Dialogue, at 6:00 ET tonight is just one of those. The concept looks pretty neat since all of the candidates will be there except for McOld and ROMney. I suspect there is no need for them to answer questions from them hippy dippy whipper snappers who are having sex before marriage (it's called the ability to get and maintain an erection, Mitt and Johnny. Something you two lost long ago). The Guardian has a nice video piece from the University of Missouri regarding the youth vote.

It would be interesting to analyze the sources of political information for 18-29 year-olds who have deindividuated from their parents with their political beliefs. Beyond the YouTubes, I suspect they are organizing in very nontraditional ways and developing ways to maximize the impact of those venues. I would love to see what is being said in 160 character text messages.
