The mainstream "blogosphere" is every bit as bad. They will destroy one of the most successful Democratic presidencies if it gets their American Idol-like charismatic candidate elected.

How many Latinos get on TV, zero, Mathews had a Telemundo buy on his NBC show and did not listen or honor anything he said.

Called Mikulski as I have on this issue at least twice in the past. Hasn't worked yet. We'll see how she votes today.

Harry Reid said "if we continue on the path President Bush has laid out, the war is lost." And people are still quoting the last part of that statement without the first. Billy Clinton's "fairy tale" comment, which a TIME reporter just repeated out of context in the last issue. And on and on. I expect this stuff from Hannity, but not from supposedly professional journalists and non-Hannity political pundits, and politicians themselves. It's outrageous.

Paradox, I couldn't agree more. And saying it is no longer even a rant - it's the unvarnished truth that more and more people are finally waking up to. It has been getting worse and worse for the past 30 years, but the blatant lying without conscience seems to me a reflection of the Bush administration. It was pretty horrible during the Clinton years, as the press gleefully tried to take down an American president. But the blatant lying us into war and refusal to print any meme that didn't support it has been one of the legacies of Bush. This has been when the press unapologetically became the Propaganda arm of the Republican party. They are worthless. If you want to have your intelligence insulted, just listen to the press. They have nothing true to report. They wouldn't know truth if it smacked them in the face. If and when we take back the White House, one of the many items on the list to fix will be the press. They are destroying our democracy.
The MSM is a propaganda organ of the Corpratocracy. Media consolidation has killed the free press (at least the appearance of a free press.)
Defense contacts to global conglomerates who happen to own the media are the priority. It's all dollars and cents.

The economy's great....if you don't work for a living, that is. More bullshit. Unemployment numbers: bullshit. History books....well you get my drift.
