Comments: Bush invokes the July 7 victims to rationalize torture

Hey, I know a guy who should have bbeen tortured to prevent another 7/7--it was Bandar bin bush himself. The guardian UK reported that he had personally threatened Blair with a second 7/7 if corrupt family dealings with BAE were not forgiven and forgotten. I wonder why Bush doesn't mention precisely this circumstance to shore up his contention that torture works. Perhaps because it points out that bribery works just as well, and is actually the preferred tactic of our leaders when they are giving away nothing but our money or our rights?

Torture Boy may not be lovin' all his fun last year in office foreign junkets,eh?.....lots of civilized conutries don't think torturing prisoners is a laughin' matter, or "hard work".

What an incomparable national disgrace Bush is.

it would be not only perfectly reasonable but also logical for any number of countries to arrest and convict most any criminal party "leader" for war crimes and other inhuman acts........

Headxray, once the Dictator-in-Chief is out of office and out from hidding behind the safety of the presidency, I would suggest he stay close to home and not travel. Arresting him as a private citizen becomes a lot easier.

What a incomparable national disgrace Bush is? The American people disgraced themselves for permitting this animal and his trainer Cheney rule unfettered for these many years!

We can't protest because we'd get tasered and die.

It didn't begin with Bush's arrival and it won't end with his departure.
He's the symptom, not the disease; like bloody phlegm and lung cancer.

Thank you! And when are Americans going to wake up and understand this, I wonder?

Do they know, for example, that Saint Bill Clinton had an extraordinary rendition program before George Bush ever heard of it? Do they really believe that it will end under a Hillary or Obama presidency?
