Uh, Marcy... It's Tavis, not Travis!

No anon, it's Tavis.

BTW why has Obama's absence that's prompted both controversy and a backlash against Tavis Smiley, the organizer of the event who has openly criticized Obama's decision. Sen. Obama regretfully declining to attend the State of the Black Union forum in New Orleans, explaining that campaigning in Ohio and Texas will take priority. Sen. Clinton managed to carve out some room in her schedule to attend. Is this another taking "them for granted" incident from Sen. Obama.

Sorry anon I misread.

Peter. Apology accepted.

The black forum thing is a non-starter. He wrote them a respectful message. The guy is trying to win the nomination and it is a critical moment. As to why Hillary carved out space... she is desperate for an opening, ANY opening. Also not surprising.

So, again, media people and bloggers are making a mountain out of a mole hill.
