Comments: It's Hard Work

Wasn't Bush at his ranch when the PDB titled "Bin Laden Determined To Strike in U.S." was delivered to him? Seems to me no matter where he is, whether he is on vacation or not, he is the biggest Fuck Up this nation has ever had for a president. There is nothing except a destructive wake behind that petulant moron.

"-could things be even worse?"
With the same stupid policies executed better, there's no reason they can't.

Is it true that in the Reagan classic "Bedtime For Bonzo", Bush played the chimp?

TIKI AL, no Bush did not play the chimp. The producers were looking for a smarter chimp.

Hasn't Obama already stated that he intends to maintain a quality family life if he's elected? I'd imagine that would translate into less time at the White House. Although I don't see Obama as a Camp David kinda guy.

But doesn't the advanced communications technolgy available these days make the actual physical location of the president somewhat less important? Besides, we all know Bush isn't really pulling the strings anyway. I'd imagine Cheney's spent considerably more time in DC.

While Bush's record might stand for a good long time I think we'll see future presidents spending less and less time in DC on average.

Bush had/has no interest any aspect of formulating government policy---he simply relishes being "the decider" that the various extremist factions must fellate and kowtow to.

He does seem to enjoy the idea that he is "commander" of our bloated imperial sturmtruppen and can "decide" to kill people all over the planet. He shows up for those "meetings" and receives pleasure from them. The rest, not so much: "Where do I sign, Dick"?

This was abundantly clear in 2000, not that anyone cared.

McCain is much the same, although ten years ago he apparently still had enough interest in extramarital blow jobs to send letters to agencies on obscure policy points. Those days are likely gone.
