Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan urged Congress on Wednesday to deal with the country’s escalating budget deficit by cutting benefits for future Social Security retirees.
Believe me, that will not sit well with the boomers, many of whom are GOP stalwarts. If the Dems can tie BushCo's tax cuts to the rich to killing the retirement plans of boomers, they will have hit pay dirt. And even the Post won't be able to lie them out of it.
This is nothing new from Samuelson. Quiddity plausibly suggests that Curly Bob is the ghostwriter of this atrocious WaPo editorial.
Not surprisingly Samuelson also reportedly happens to be the author of one of Dubya's three favorite books, The Good Life and Its Discontents: The American Dream in the Age of Entitlement.
Posted by Bragan at February 25, 2004 11:59 AMThanks, Bragan. I actually have an entry on that editorial here in the archives. Man that horrible thing was awful.
I often get a comment writing about the media from regulars "that all this is well known...." or something to that effect. Thing is, a lot of people are showing up for the blog for the first time every day--as the election gets closer more and more people get interested. Most of them don't know WaPo is a total whore for Bush.
