CLINTON DOESN'T WANT A REVOTE
From a fascinating article in the dreaded American Prospect:

"What would happen if an agreement were announced today that there would be re-votes in Florida and Michigan? Immediately, the previous primaries in those states would become dead letters. Instead of being 200,000 votes down in the popular vote (by her campaign's count), or 500,000 down (by my count, which gives Clinton her Florida votes), Clinton would be down in the popular vote by almost 1 million. And 193 delegates that they are currently counting would suddenly disappear.

And at that point, the magnitude of Clinton's deficit would be too obvious to spin away. Yes, there would be two additional large-state contests in which to win back the million popular votes and hundreds of delegates. But unless she did significantly better in both states than she did in the illegal primaries, she would lose, not gain, ground, by her own calculations. Since she was on the ballot alone in Michigan before, it's highly unlikely that she will do better there. It's very possible that she could do better than the 50 percent she won in Florida in January, but since it would now be a two-person race, it's a dead certainty that Obama would do significantly better than the 32 percent he got in January, thus adding to his total popular vote margin and delegate count even if he lost again, and so it would be a net loss for Clinton. Re-votes cannot help Clinton be "perceived" as the winner of the popular vote."

This is so entertaining: watching the Left tear itself apart.

So much fun!

P.S. And do you Leftists understand that you are arguing about two candidates that are absolutely unfit to be President of the the United States of America?

Hillary: vote for me, I was First Lady.

Obama: Vote for me...change! (And Black racism!)

I'm not worried about it. I was expecting it to happen sooner, actually.

Time will heal. No Democrat will ever sit out against John McCain.

Obama picked up more delegates at the Iowa convention today, mostly from Edwards' stash. Good time for Hillary supporters to go on strike.

"No Democrat will ever sit out against John McCain."

I agree, they will all want to participate in the loss.

P.S. They -- the Democrats -- will need to answer their children when the question is asked: what was it you were doing when the Democratic party imploded?

poor bagless bagley, the ReThugs -- will need to answer their children when the question is asked: what was it you were doing when the ReThug party backed Bush's lies that drove this country into a war of aggression against Iraq

Well, g-v, it appears as though you discovered a new note on your harmonica....

Saw Markos's typically tackless response: "It's a big internet, so I hope they find what they're looking for." Yes, don't express any regrets over the division, or attempt to bring a little civility to the discourse on your OWN website. A simple "I don't like what X Candidate has been doing, but we can criticize him or her like adults, or like Freepers" could work wonders.

When did you first hear a harmonica bagless... when you were lifted to freedom? Or was that the tune you whistled out of your ass when you made your first American buck!

aw Markos's typically tackless response

Markos is an asshole. He sent his attack squads after women's reproductive rights groups for NOT supporting Lieberman over Chafee, which to Markos was to blame for every Dem misfortune thereafter.

Then Markos went after women's reproductive rights groups for acting on their own to contest Alito when "rock star" Harry Reid, in a call to the blogs, said they should let the Dems handle matters.

Alito got onto the SCOTUS without a peep from the chickenshit Dems.

Now Hillary Hatred is the bug up Markos' ass and he's leading the smear campaign.

Obama's public photos don't look the same on a million computer monitors? Hillary's a racist.

Apropos of nothing, Obama's pastor / mentor race-baits and dumps sexist crap on Hillary. During the mea culpas, Obama's self-flattering paragraphs and weepy-eyed nostalgic portrait of his mentor accompany have no apology for the smeared.

Presumably it's a given that she's a monster, so Obama supporters patting him on the head for being KLASSY also use the opportunity to work the "CW" that HRC's is a fuckin bitch apparently personally responsible for the reprehensible conditions on Chicago's south side!

Oh, and Geraldine Ferraro, so NYAH.

It's fucking ridiculous. I've decided to write in a Prez ticket regardless of who the Dems pick. I'm still open minded about Obama though the door is shutting fast the more I see of him, his team and his supporters.

Didn't like the first Uniter who's squatted his useless pimpled ass in the White House and I don't like what I've seen of this Uniter's tactics either.

Amazing - all of you completely dodged the content of the thread.

Dkos is about 4 weeks behind this joint.

Hillary's a loser. "Writer's strike" at DKos. ROTFLMAO! That's a good strategy, Hillary supporters, abandon the biggest American leftie site in the country, surrender that intellectual battlefield. Way to go! LOL!

I said at the start of this thing, Obama's playing to win. He'll do the same against the Republicans. All that matters is getting a Dem in there. Hillary won't be able to do it. Obama can, despite the race-baiting going on at Hillary's behest.

Um, I actually WAS responding to the content of this thread -- relating Markos's response to the diarists' decision to stop writing there.
