Great post.

Thanks for taking the time to so thoroughly debunk his remarks. Though you are right, they fail on their face.

Now if only we had a press worthy of reporting that fact. (So much for the A-List blogs often-mentioned claim they would bring the press to leash. Instead they joined them.)

I thought the most disgusting part was that he's sitting there saying those disgusting, sexist things in front of his own daughter. There was something particularly sick about that.

New Clinton/Obama Rule; When Bill Clinton says that Obama is like Jesse Jackson, that's racist.

When Obama says that HRC is like Mamie Eisenhower, that's not sexist, just "playing along with the guys".

Ooops. Obama's foreign policy advisor, I mean.

" Bill Kristol said the only people supporting Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-NY) presidential campaign “are the Democratic establishment and white women.” Kristol then asserted that “it would be crazy for the Democratic Party to follow an establishment that’s led it to defeat year after year,” and added, “White women are a problem, that’s, you know — we all live with that.”

For me, this will be the year when the Democrats screwed the pooch.

They will never get my straightline vote again.

I think one of the most frustrating and unfair things I find here is that there were so many times (years) when we heard numerous complaints from the media and pundits that when she was first lady, Hillary was too involved and played too big a role in the president's decision making teams and policy areas.

Now that she's running for president and citing that very experience on her resume...(experience and a role they criticized her for having/playing when she was in the midst of it)they do a complete 180 and infer those years as first lady really don't count as experience after all and they try to trivialize it.

I'm always sadly amazed at how easily they (the pundits/media/ conventional wisdom makers)switch positions when it comes to criticizing Senator Clinton and they are not called on it. I'm even more upset when progressive bloggers also pull it. But as with all things Hillary (and Clinton)in the media/pundit world she's damned if she does, damned if she doesn't.

Un-believable. I am just speechless. "Mamie Eisenhower"? A TRAVEL AGENT???

I'm sorry, I thought this election had already gone far beyond over the top, but this just went higher.

Emal,

Great point. I had planned to mention that in a separate post, but with your reminder I added an update at the bottom of this post. Take a look.

If more time was spent on "women and children's issues" we might have fewer juvenile delinquents and kids vulnerable to drugs, gangs, and ultimately fewer adults imprisoned. Not to mention fewer problems in schools, healthier kids, slower population explosion, etc. Bill and Melinda Gates are concerned, but a useful "trickle down" is nothing some men in power can bother their beautiful minds with.

Great post. Thanks for keeping the malign acceptance of sexism during this campaign front and center, at least here. Lord knows everyone else is ignoring it. I have never seen more casual sexism in the media and blogs in my life. Clinton has been totally dehumanized. I don't know how she is not in a fetal position at a mental institution at this point after what she's endured over the last decades. I know I would be. Good grief, first it was years of abuse from the right wing, and now even the democrats have piled on. I will NEVER forgive all the lefty bloggers and white male news anchors for what has transpired during this campaign.

Is Iraq the last country we confront in the Middle East?

"Who wants to volunteer to get cross-ways with us? We'll be there a century, hopefully. If it works right."

U.S. Air Force Gen. Merrill A. "Tony" McPeak from an interview with the Oregonians, Manning and Maves dated 03/27/03.

Go ahead Tony, say it ain't so. Now we know where McOld got his 100 year saying from...an Obama supporter.

HRC is the one that tried to sell the experience resume and the bullets flying in Bosnia now that looks just a tad exagerated bring on Eri and the clan to foist faux ire at this audacity of anyone trying to question HRC's foreign policy legacy. TLC turns into Taylor Marsh.com before our eyes. HRC can do no wrong ad Obama can do nothing but wrong.

I will work my hardest to encourage people to stay home in NOV if Obama is the nominee. I am sick and angry with the DNC and the MSM for treating women like s*it. They may laugh now but I will laugh in NOV. The Dem party has not earned my vote and I will no longer be taken for granted. Women should not stay in abusive relationships and this is why I am leaving the party

Posted by tiffany at March 23, 2008 08:21 AM

Tiffany. I'm completely with you. We should become more organized about this.

The Democratic Party, the MSM, and most of the liberal blogs have accepted the sexist smearing of Hillary (and by extension, all women) and we should speak out loudly against this complicity.

He will never get my vote.
