Comments: How an Election Campaign Works - Part 1

Thank god it's easter and the cross is empty leaving plenty of room for the Billary contingent. And speaking of odd religious beliefs which may afflict a president...like supporting pharmacists who won't fill birth control prescriptions or police officers who refuse to protect abortion providers...hmmm. Now, what did Obama's g-maw say?

Hillary's March 17, 2008 account of her landing at Tuzla is a lie. Just another example of her inflating her role as first lady. A role that, after the health care defeat, was largely ceremonial.

She's demonstrated her penchant for exaggeration and telling outright falsehoods. We've had enough of that kind of behavior the last seven years. We don't need Hillary "I remember landing under sniper fire" Clinton.

Hillary would definitely make a good Secretary of Heath. I hope Obama keeps her in mind for that spot.

This commentary by eriposte could have equally well be entitled How Blogging an Election Campaign Works - Part 1. eriposte does a good job of discussing hypocrisy and clumsy statements by some but skips the opportunity to discuss hypocrisy and clumsy statements by others. That's OK, actually--I mean, eriposte is distinctly partisan in the Democratic nomination battle, and partisanship always entails promoting one's favorite at the expense of the competition--but I have problems with eriposte's posturing that somehow s/he is objective, rational and fair, while Obama supporters are the opposite: delusional, irrational, and viciously unfair.

More broadly, I was very impressed by eriposte's lengthy discussion several months ago in which s/he endorsed Hillary Clinton, but practically everything that eriposte has written since then has been a snarky attack on Barack Obama. How about if eriposte instead reminds us of why s/he thinks Clinton is a better choice for the nomination?

I've seen the video. The little girl who greeted H. Clinton on the tarmac with the bouquet wasn't wearing camo.

I've also seen alternative descriptions of Clinton's participation in the children's health plan. I presume your quote from Ted Kennedy, clearly a political fluff, means that everything else that Ted says in this campaign cycle should be embraced?

Because it's so exhausting for readers, it must be doubly exhausting for you to keep slogging through this same stuff over and over. I just recently came across stories about Hillary's prayer group. Why not enlighten us on that subject? I particularly want to know why Reverend Coe's prayer groups are segregated by sex? Does God have problems listening to prayers from both sexes from the same earthly location at once? Or does God just want to take prayers in some order of, say, importance. Now that Hillary is a senator I hear she gets to pray with the guys. Maybe God didn't recognize the experience and importance and power of first ladies.

Hey folks, we have come full circle. Now we have links supported by Newsmax.com here, thanks Phid. What's next...quotes from the CNS network.

“Because he’s African-American. Because he’s a black man. Who has come from a place of oppression and repression through the years in our own country.”Senator Kerry on ABC

Where is this “place of oppression and repression” in which Obama has suffered “through the years"? Hawaii? Harvard? The Senate? We should find out immediately and do something about this horrific crisis. To Kerry, it seems, all “oppressed peoples” look alike. The man has all the intellectual subtlety of a third-rate ethnic studies professor.

Then there's this about Governor Richardson...

The reaction of some of Mr. Clinton's allies suggests that might have been a wise decision. "An act of betrayal," said James Carville, an adviser to Mrs. Clinton and a friend of Mr. Clinton.

"Mr. Richardson's endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic,"

Maybe we can start looking at another Obama 'friend', Emil Jones...

Newsalert: John kerry claims it is not swiftboating if you are doing it to another Dem...

Using "Billary" shows that one' frame of reference is gossip magazines and cred is lost d right off the bat. I like seeing it because I know I can skip the post and miss nothing. i wonder at its continued use by the people supposedly the eductated amongst us - or maybe people jumped on the wagon so they could be assumed to be the smarties? Boy, talk about the power of advertising!!!

Ha ha. Judith - you didn't miss much from philipides except the usual lies and hypocrisy. You know, like in this post today - where he/she makes fun of 'odd religious beliefs' yet leaves out the ones from Trinity where the preaching involves loose woman Natalie Holloway deserving to be murdered, the government introducing HIV virus to the black community, and hateful bigotry spewed like venom directly into the ears of little girls and boys such as Sasha and Malia. Praise Jeezus!!

You're right - better to just stop reading when you see terms like 'billary' - it's what we call a psychological indicator.

Now let's just wait for angryman to get on the scene here, where he can reveal to us some more his fear and hatred of mommy. and hillary.

Thank the FSM for Bob Somerby! Has kept me sane--albeit with blood pressure spikes from reading how bad our MCM (Mainstream Corporate Media) is--and now how awful some of our Dems can be. Well, as DailyHowler has chronicled, have also been in past eledtions.
