Comments: Parable of Impatience

paradox,

What is it like to live a life so unhappy and miserable? To wake up each morning full of complaints and jealous rage?

We have our differences, but may I wish you and your all the best this Easter holday.

Peace be with you.

Regards,

Bagley

I'm drinking Ethiopian coffee nibbling on a chocolate bunny made from cacao beans provided by child slave labor (as is the chocolate you are nibbling on today). The questions you ask and the answers you want are elusive, para. Place them within the context of $1.1 trillion dollars in corporate welfare this year and I think you'll have your answer. Capitalism...Unfettered markets...Opportunity for all: The great myths and lies in our modern economy. Wanna know why? We can only elect our leaders. We just can't out lobby the lobbys and their cash donation machine.

Enjoy your chocolate. A child was brutalized to get it to you.

Dunno how paradox wakes up each morning, Bagley, and neither do you.

I do know how s/he feels about certain political, and social issues, and so do you. But that's all we know.

All I know of you is how you sound here. You often sound pompous, self-righteous, and more than a little selfish. Surely you are more attractive in person?

Since you have invoked Easter, the culmination of the Christian faith, and the fulfillment of God's new covenant with man may I suggest:
John 8
and
Matthew 5-7

The beliefs contained in these verses are the reason for Easter.

Excellent post, as usual.

I think you speak for many many many more than just me.

It's not surprising that "The Wizard of Oz" is so popular in America -- we have a fatal fondness for wizards. New Schrute Buck hits new low, while former Wizard says our bubble economy wasn't his fault. Remember when the Wizard of Oz took off in his balloon and left Dorothy behind? At least she could tap her magic slippers together and wake up from her dream. We don't have any magic slippers, just those incredible shrinking Schrute Bucks, and we seem to be trapped in a nightmare with no end in sight.

Right on, Clio.
Thank you for this post, Paradox.

Even Paul Volker said the bailout was a bad idea. I guess he's been out of government long enough not to mind telling the truth. He also said EVERYBODY should have seen the mortgage collapse coming. I think he rattled Charlie Rose.
