apparently there was a major attack on the Green Zone yesterday, killing several and injuring many, including some Americans. The Green Zone is the one single target that can destroy the entire "Successful Surge" meme. It's been clear for a long time that Iraqis have the firepower to hit the Green Zone at will, and why they haven't has been a mystery to me. One or two lucky rocket or mortar rounds will expose the Surge success as the false promise it always has been. Maybe that time is coming. I'd say Shia are not thrilled with the prospect of a McOld presidency and his 100 year Occupation.

Camp Clinton's current strategy is to try make Barack "unelectable" and will "say and do" anything to make themselves look "electable", like the above outrageous distortion. This is wrong. However, Main Stream Media, are acting like this is ok. It is not ok for our politicians to lie to us so eggreciously. That is why we do not have faith in our politicians and we should. Too, what the main stream media are not telling you is that this Race would have been over, but certain Republicans, edged on by Rush Limbaugh, pushed Hillary over the top by 100,000.00 votes, if were not for that, Barack would have won. The Republicans also voted for him in Ohio and gave her a substantial margin. If you think this video makes the point, please spread the word, send it to friends, family, even superdelegates. Let's just get it out there. Let's seal the deal.

Hillary also thinks that a working group of Wall Street Boyz should be convened immediately to make foreclosure "recommendations"---the Boyz should include Clinton Treasury-man Rubin (who deregulated the banks and got us into this mess) and---wait for it---St. Alan Greenspan. Yeah, get those heroes back around the table, Hillary! That's the ticket! No hard feelings, Boyz!
While sounding tough on the culprits, her plan mostly involves having the gub'mint (i.e. the taxpayers) take the worthless mortgage backed securities off the hands of the banks and investment banks, thus rewarding them for their folly---and doesn't dream to propose that--in future--these bad actors be required to have to live with significant regulation. Thus they are free to dream up the next fake asset "boom" which they can "securitize" into future overvalued fraudulent "investments". (Wall Street cheers....)
Yes, there are a couple worthwhile aspects of the plan (like letting judges reform mortgages in bankruptcy court), But basically it's what would you expect from Wall Street's senator. Bailout the rich fraudsters, while claiming to help the homeowner.
Anything that tries to hold housing prices at bubble prices over time is a fraud, assuming we aren't going to have fixed prices for houses. And just catches even more people in the unsupportable scam of bubble-ized prices.

Hey, General on the Ground...aren't you the one who's supposed to be securing the borders? Note to Petraeus....it was Iraqi's that fired the rockets. Remember them? They are the ones with the 60% less violence due to your Surge. And, would you really tell us if it was American made ammo that was used? Isn't it funny that, with millions of US rounds unaccounted for under Petraeus' watch, none of that ordinance is ever used by the "insurgents"?
