Well, follow that link; watch the ad; then click the link in the upper right (will require scrolling and/or window stretching) for "Enter Salon"; and then find the link for "This Modern World" and use it.

Sorry to give folks a bad link.

I just hope this series of posts is the break from Turkana we've all been looking forward to--I was just about to delete this bookmark.

Gee, what a surprise, Bushco has no intention of reforming their beloved crony capitalism operations, just handling public bail out money to the unregulated investment banks and securities dealers. More "efficient" (non)regulation to aid "competition".

Yessir, more "free market" "conservative" principles in action, with the Goebbelsian MSM propaganda arm blatting the lies coast to coast.....

Dems? Hello, Dems?.......Anyone in there? Can a coherent "counter-message" be formulated and promulgated or is it to be the usual hapless Tower of Babel approach?

Posted by euzoius at March 31, 2008 06:54 AM

the simple fact is that Bushco has done more damage to this country than the terrorists could EVER dream of

Bush's and Cheney's buddies get even richer while New Orleans remains in ruins.

MSNBS just showed "Lefty" Obama bowl a not so perfect 37 complete with obligatory gutter balls.

Now THIS is the guy I want to have a beer and go bowling with!

I want to draw everyone's attention to this comprehensive and very well written article on Michigan and Florida. Trust me. It's worth a read.

just a comment on the Sadr cease fire and the performance of the Iraqi "Army". Once again we've seen the Iraqi Army fail to accomplish a mission due to lack of essential Army/Air power. That is why the American troops had to come to the rescue with jets, helo's and tanks and artillery....because the Iraqi's don't have those kinds of weapons. The US Occupation armies refuse to equip the Iraqis with those weapons because they know that the Iraqis will then turn them on the US troops. That is dirty secret Petraeus and Bush and McCain keep in the dark. And without those resources, the Iraqis cannot win major battles by themselves. Which, in turn, allows the Republican war mongers/occupiers to argue that we need to keep troops there forever.

Bush threw out the first pitch at the new DC taxpayer funded stadium for the rich and well connected high and outside to a healthy chorus of boos.

Were the boos due to the crappy pitch or a social comment on the failed first simian president experiment?

Posted by TIKI AL at March 31, 2008 10:44 AM

TIKI, I think they were booing the cliche of a chimp on the mound. Oh, and the total fuckup of the world. With that arm, though, he could prolly warm the Mariners' bench.

You cannot have a smoothly functioning capitalist system when confidence in others' competence and honesty has been destroyed. Only a few Democratic administrations with heightened regulation of the destructive children of Wall St. will do it.

I invested my savings in US stocks for 40 years, but now will never invest another penny.

"Obama’s criticism was sharp, but his six-point plan for rebuilding a regulatory structure was short on both details and teeth, and relies on the Federal Reserve, which is like having the fox guard, well, the other foxes."

"Any effort Hillary Clinton might make to separate herself from her husband’s positions will be undermined by the fact that Robert Rubin, promoter of bank deregulation and still a top official at Citigroup, is an advisor to her campaign."

"...says Sheila Krumholz, executive director of the Center for Responsive Politics, “No matter who becomes our next president, Wall Street will have an indebted friend in the White House.”"

Clinton had 8 years to reform the financial system...were any of you bitching then? You can't have it both ways.

SOCIALISM SUCKS

Posted by liberalismisamentaldisorder at March 31, 2008 11:54 AM

If you don't like socialism, then you must REALLY be against what the Repub Fed and your boy Bush is doin' right now, mentaldisorder.

Or do you not even understand what's goin' on? Oh yeah, I forgot---you're a "conservative", so of course you don't know what's going on---you're too stupid.
