Most BushAmericans don't care about the environment any more, these "stories" have no political effect whatever, and the corporate press has no interest in reporting on the degradation of the environment either.
These Johnson-type manuevers are the clever "games" of "conservative" hacks (like Bush) who never had the slightest interest in law, policy or actual governing. They simply wanted power to game the system for their corporate campaign contributors and cronys. The "law" be damned.
As Cheney said. "we won the elections and these are our spoils".
And Cheney is not about to allow another branch to order him what to do. Hence the endless footdragging and delay, just like the military commissions and terror "trials" in Guantanamo.
is there even one small corner of the Federal government that hasn't been corrupted by Dear Leader?
