People are in denial. The players have it set up in order to protect themselves. This will be a slow drawn out agonizing process as Americans wake up to what has been done.
Meanwhile, I think these high up dumb asses will never again be able to travel abroad and will be shunned as tainted goods in this country.
Its probably the best we can hope for. If it was up to me, I would break out the Guillotine and show them more mercy than they showed their victims.
But it aint up to me.

And if it is possible, the republican Congress and the MSM in general should be prosecuted as accessories before, during, and after the face. The republican Congress is guilty of enabling the crimes and either failing to practice oversight and/or actively opposing that oversight that is intended to hold the administration accountable. The MSM is guilty of failing in it's adversarial responsibilities of accurately reporting on what the government is doing. But since the MSM is largely owned by members of the political party that supports the lawbreaking (the republicans), I suppose we should not be surprised at the covering-up.

And because Pinhead Majority (the Bush voters) actually agree with the torture tactics of Bushco. We have degenerated into a brutal, violent, militaristic people and we don't care that the rest of the world is now repulsed by us, our brutality and our abject hypocrisy. America is feared, hated and held in contempt--and that's how Pinhead Majority likes it.
We are a crappy people, so of course we don't care about our government torturing detainees---Might makes Right!---the universal cry of all jingoist, nationalist authoritarians.
