Comments: The Pope Didn’t Come to Judge Us

"I have not forgotten that we, as a country, invaded and murdered Iraqis for nothing but terrible evil lies, layering a four year horror show of occupation on top since. The American “journalism” corps never says so, Clinton and Obama don’t, the Republicans strut around in a nauseating arrogance like the issue never even exists, and even the freaking Pope won’t deliver the irrevocable moral verdict of the Iraq war to us."

If everyone is saying something different than you, perhaps you are the one that got it wrong.
Building arguments on faulty premises will bear faulty results.

Or perhaps he is an activist? And I really hate to point this out, but American public opinion on the Iraq Occu...uh...Invasion shows paradox is in pretty good company on this one.

No fooling...he didn't come to judge us. Gee wiz batman, that so easy to see. Morals...my how many times did you write that? Whose? Yours, mine, the collective, society, whose? Pardon me Paradox, What a bunch of crap. "Judge not lest ye be judged." "Are you blameless...cast the first stone." You surely seem to be casting, are you blameless? Are you without sin? Try something else...

So "Pope's Hat" does mean "prick".

Thank goodness christ's emissary came to the United States and didn't make us uncomfortable what with the war, death, destruction, rape, murder and any number of ills the Catholic church has...I mean, we have perpetrated worldwide. If only he would have gone to the malls and encouraged people to buy on credit all would be good in Merca again.

Paradox, if it helps you to feel any better at all, most people in the world I inhabit do not seem to view individual American people as "rapacious, murdering killing Americans". Most people in the Arab and Muslim worlds, at least, are pretty good at making a distinction between the government and the people of a country. So, if you came here to Syria, for example, you would be welcomed by most people as an individual, and taken as you present yourself.

Well, I suppose this post constitutes paradox's 2 minutes of hate.

Feel better now?

You know these silly Republican's were carrying on something fierce in 99 about Bush or Gore and which one you would rather drink a beer with, and that one went on to define this whole mantra that Dubyae is just like one of us, and that's why Republican's like and respect the guy."

I wish there was a way to force feed every last one of them who voted that moron into office those word's of "he's just like us." Ladies ansd Gentlemen, I do NOT want a President to be just like me, or YOU and I know just how average and ordinary most of you are, and I live with my own ordinary-ness and even in my fits of brilliance nobody has ever been blindedby it. Nope, no ordinary average guys in the most important job in the world for me, as Joe Walsh the great 70's era guitar hero, and vocalist droned in his tune with the same words "Ordinary Average Guy."

The reason that I go to the polls every two and four years, is because I am so frightened that an ordinary guy is just what we will get. . . The old tome, aim for the stars, and hit the moon, right? In other words if you don't aim high enough then you just might fail, and if you vote for an idiot to be your President, then you get what you deserve! I swear I think that there are about 65 to 70 million people in this Country who have a distinct death wish. . . Anyone who could pull a lever for George W Bush and still be able to sleep at night, were beaten with sugar kane as children! Screw US!
