I realize it's all about Bill being the best President evah, which that and $4.00 gets you a nice coffee, but it somehow misses the entire point of Clyburn's comments. Namely, that if African Americans perceive the nomination process to be unfairly weighted against Obama you will lose them as supporters of the Democrats. He whispered nothing. He spoke the truth.
Being the party of Pelosi/Reid and DINOs, I, for one, don't think it would be a bad thing if blacks and others of conscience formed a new party. The only reason I'll hold my nose and vote for any Democrat is because they are somewhat less odious than republi-cons and I never have a chance at a viable third party candidate.
And that massive number of jobs created by Bill? Mostly minimum wage service sector jobs with no benefits. It's like Buschco wanting to claim McDonalds jobs are manufacturing jobs since people assemble hamburgers.
Posted by phidipides at April 29, 2008 06:50 AMNo, phidipides, you troll, it's about telling the fucking truth. Something you and your Obamabot pals can't seem to do. Funny how your, "party of conscience" would have no remorse about lies and slander to suit your noble cause. I've yet to see a post by you that wasn't full of discredited right wing talking points with regards to the Clintons. That's quite a shining city on the hill that you and lord Obama would create.
As for Obama, if he gets the nomination I'm staying home. I won't support a candidate within my party who would stoop to the race baiting antics of his campaign.
Posted by Johnny at April 29, 2008 08:31 AMI think the Wright bomb killed the race issue for Obama.....that trick pony has been played and is dead E.Edwards also helped. I think AA's in NC are seeing the real Obama and the jig is up....you all have been busted.

ROFLMAO!!!
Actually, the reich-wing steals MY talking points. Bastards!
As for Obama, if he gets the nomination I'm staying home.
Do as your conscience and desires tell you to do. Too bad you'll likely sacrifice some decent downticket Dems. But, hey, you can throw your little fit and show us all how important you are in the scheme of things. Maybe you can hold your breath to added effect? There are many rich and whiney possibilities for you to explore.
...think AA's in NC are seeing the real Obama and the jig is up
Obama 6 NC supers; Hillary 2. I know...it was only those "below decks" superdelegates, if you catch my drift.
Posted by phidipides at April 29, 2008 08:48 AMThe polling seems to be heading Clinton's way.
Phidy-cent a troll? Wow, that seems to happening a lot lately. Phid take it easy on Johnny boy. He just doesn't know ya.
Amazing how President Bill Clinton and his record is being recategorized in today's political environment. Being revised as we speak.
Posted by peter at April 29, 2008 08:59 AMNo, phidipides, you troll, it's about telling the fucking truth.
Let's talk about telling the fucking truth Johnny boy. Phid isn't a troll!
And Hillary goes on national TV and says she's winning the popular vote! Talk about lies...
Phidy-cent a troll?
Thanks a hell of lot, peter. Now he has proof the right wing supports me (big grin).
Posted by phidipides at April 29, 2008 09:36 AMNo problem Phid, anything to help the cause. Mine(grin)was pretty big too.
Posted by peter at April 29, 2008 10:32 AMI love Obamabots presuming to speak for African American voters. No doubt there will be some lasting damage from Obama's divisive campaign, but if black voters have demonstrated anything over the years, it is realism. (Far more than most of us white voters.) Given the choice between Hillary and McCain, I suspect most of them will have no trouble recognizing where their best interests lie. Not sure that is true about the upper class white Obama fans, but then they aren't really a key electoral demographic.
Posted by tdraicer at April 29, 2008 12:15 PMThank you tdraicer.
There is nothing that pisses me off more, than Obama supporters who assume that because they support Obama, that they somehow speak for me and all African Americans. Get over yourselves. We are not a monolithic group, nor are we ignorant buffoons, and you do not speak for me.

God, phidipides, I sure hope you join them. I really really hope you do because it sucks that you're a part of my party. Your 'of conscience' comment is downright orwellian considering the frequent unconscionable remarks you make here.
Please, do - go to another party. PLEASE.
Posted by at April 29, 2008 02:57 PMlemme see,
when Clinton staff people just happen to remind voters a few days before each primary that Obama happens to be black, that's not racist.
when Hillary's team gets Wright on center stage to keep thefears about the black church and the ANGRY BLACK MAN alive, that's not racism.
mmmmmm. ok.
considering the fact that Hillary has promised to obliteate the citizens of Iran at will, and
considering the fact that she says more positive things about McCain than about Obama, and
considering the fact that every Republican from Rush to Newt is promoting Hillary, maybe it's not racist after all.
maybe it's just republican.
