Comments: Sen. Clinton on Fox

I missed the very beginning of the interview, but caught most of it and I thought she was great! This is the Hillary Clinton people need to see--relaxed, personable, passionate, funny. And yes, she didn't let O'Reilly get away with anything. This is the Hillary I really get excited about.

Obama and Hillary both lowered themselves by going on the FOX propaganda network. They do not need the votes of the people who watch O'Lielly, (as if they would vote for her). What's next? The Rush Limbaugh Hour. O'Lielly will go back immediately to lying about her and any Democrat. So Hillary's interview went well. So what?

It was a great interview.

Right into the Belly of the Beast, which she then slew -- handily.

Unlike The Man Who Would Be Prom King.

You need to ask your doctor to titrate your meds.

I like the part where she name drops Ray-Gun. Too bad they couldn't discuss their mutual admiration for Joseph McCarthy along with how their (Low-lifely's and Clinton's) personalities are so similar.

Weren't they both Goldwater girls once?

Weren't they both Goldwater girls once?

Hillary was also president of the Young Republicans at Wellesley. It appears, as of late, Clinton (Republican lite)has returned to her roots.

Here we have a woman, seeking to become the Democratic nominee for president hobnobbing with Murdoch, Scaife, and O'Reilly. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but she's reached a new low point. Hillary and her supporters ought to be ashamed to call themselves Democrats.

Very nice interview; good for Hillary. She's shown she's smart and fearless, and can answer questions from anyone with grace and intelligence, even winning over people who'd been mortal enemies once upon a time. Sadly, Obama's Fox interview was a series of panders and tossing of dems under the bus that even had Madkos calling him a wuss. But leave it to the dems, and especially the unreality-based community to shun the smart, strong candidate for the shiny new toy. Buncha kids whining "I want, I want" without a clue as to what they're really gonna get.

"even winning over people who'd been mortal enemies once upon a time."

You have got to be kidding. O'Lielly will be tossing her around like a dog with a stuffed toy by his next show.

Watching Clinton on FOX really helped me make up my mind for the Indiana open primary. I will happily place my vote for Clinton. Of course, I am voting McCain in the general election.

Of the Bush economy: "The average tax cut out of whatever he was doing ..." Funny.

Obama's turn. Let's see how he does on O'Reilly. He needs Joe Six-pack more than she does.

"And you know what, rich people -- God bless us -- we deserve all the opportunities to make sure our country and our blessings continue for the next generation."

Too bad Obama is the elitist.

I'd be embarrassed to sign that comment too.

But your comment is a perfect example of "the old style politcs" that the Obama campaign says it has rejected.

Guess you didn't get the memo, eh?

Wow, awesome. What a strong argument in favor of Democratic values.

Who do you want leading our party? The one who takes on the biggest blabbermouth on the right and puts him in his place on all of these issues, or the one who goes on the same network and ends up saying things about how the Republicans are better than the Democrats on a "whole host of issues"?

I'll take the one who has inspired a new generation of activists while smacking down a Washington insider beholding to a litany of hangers on.

Don't let the screen door hit you on the ass on your way out!!

Obama and his supporters whine about their media treatment. Hillary heads directly into the belly of the beast and takes them on, one-on-one, while keeping her sense of humor and defending Democratic principles.

I am sick and tired of having Obama shoved down my throat while this women's knowledge and competence are trashed by a bunch of whiny fanboys with unresolved mother issues.

"inspired a new generation of activists"

????

yeah, a bunch of little wanna-be white boy thugs flashing gang signs. peddle that bullshit somewhere else.

Wow there really are some ignorant people posting here, and it explains why Democrats consistently LOSE elections with the exception of Carter and the only recent 2 TERM Democrat, Bill Clinton.

For all the idiots who like to bloviate about Fox News, here's a newsflash: LOTS OF DEMS WATCH FOX AND O'REILLY. Do you honestly think his numbers are so high bc of Republicans? Please tell me you're not THAT ignorant. I grew up in a primarily African American family, they're all Dems and most are voting for Obama, and THEY ALL watch Fox news. Grow up people.

I love how the Hillary blowhards rant on this blog. The weenyest people I have met in my life, were the ones that talked the toughest. The tough talk was their mask on their insecurities and fears.Probably guys about 5'5 about 140 pounds soaking wet. tuff guys on a blog....brother

I have a huge circle of liberal friends, and not one of them watch FOX News or would ever consider wasting their time in doing so. Oh, and by-the-way, none of them are ignorant.

Posted by Judith at May 1, 2008 08:16 PM

"LOTS OF DEMS WATCH FOX AND O'REILLY."

Well, I guess if you consider 3% lots of Democrats. Not exactly a high number.

Well, I guess if you consider 3% lots of Democrats. Not exactly a high number.

Judith,

According to a Harris Poll on perceptions of bias in the media Democrats make up a bit more than 3% of FOX's viewers. And Independents add to the non-Republican total.

When looking at the profile of viewers of TV channels that are watched most often for news about politics or public affairs, preferences emerge based on political affiliation and political philosophy.

CNN’s viewers are more likely to be Democrats (42%) or Independents (29%) than Republicans (19%), whereas FOX News viewers are more likely to be Republicans (63%) as compared to Democrats (12%) or Independents (20%).

Similarly, FOX News viewers are more likely to say they are Conservative (61%) than Moderate (35%) or Liberal (4%). CNN viewers are more likely to say they are Moderate (61%) than Liberal (27%) or Conservative (12%).

I do know plenty of people who watch FOX and O'Reilly and are not Republican. Are they the most Liberal people I know? Of course not. But to maintain that the most popular cable news channel is watched by nothing but Republicans is silly. Should Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama just write off those Dems and Independents?
