Comments: Lipstick On A Pig

This is what happens when Chickenhawks are in charge of a war. This is called 'Supporting our Troops". If Gen. Petreaus has any shame, he should have resigned after the Walter Reed fiasco instead of taking orders from the chicknhawks.

"Does this remind anyone of anything?"

Besides Abu Ghraib and Walter Reed, it reminds me of HILLARY CLINTON, the DLC supporter of the WAR.

tfitz,

i've suspended you for once again hijacking a thread with your obsessive cds.

it reminds me of HILLARY CLINTON,

Using the plight of our troops for political purposes, who does that remind you of? I'll give you a hint: "Mission Accomplished"

Turkana, thanks for posting about this. I saw the Ft. Bragg video a few days ago, and was appalled not only by the barracks, but the beginning where the dad described the Afghanistan tours. Not getting a shower for 15 weeks? Did I hear that right? And mail once a month? My god! This isn't fookin' WWII; there's no excuse for that shit. And of course it's just going to be a coat of paint, and some flowers dropped into the sand outside the barracks entry, and they'll call it fixed. Assholes.

Anyone know if McCain has signed onto the new GI Bill yet?

This is what you get when "Conservatives" and "Republicans" run the show. Nice job, assholes!

A wake up call just does not work in the current military. They have made so many slips that "supporting the troops" seems to only result after a kick in the butt. McCain and the Republicans in the Senate have their own version of the "New GI Bill," a watered down version of the Webb bill that loads up benefits for GIs that stay in the military. Like their version of immigration reform, it is designed to draw off support for the real thing.

Why am I not surprised. These people don't support our troops. What they do best is accuse others of the very thing they are guilty of.

Frankly, I am surprised it took the press this long to publish this story? These kids must have been complaining about these barracks for years!

If it were not for sites like YouTube you would have to wonder if this issue would have ever been brought to the public? Thank you Turkana for spreading the word and the outrage. This is no way to treat our kids in uniform. They deserve a hell of alot better!

I have to disagree, Bush and the rest of the right-wing yellow curs do support the troops......as political props
