its that age thing, straight talk gets decidely stooped and warped when you are a septogenarian.
tie this and his comments regarding gwb equating diplomacy to the holocaust while in israel...
i don't always agree with paul begala, but this is spot on...
All this is to say George W. Bush is a hypocrite. So deep is his cynicism that he would go on foreign soil to invoke history's greatest crime to condemn conduct he himself has engaged in.
As an American I am ashamed that such a man represents me.
tie this to mc cain, tie gwb's 8 years around his neck. tie his elitist wife, and her millions though not releasing her tax forms, and her "oops i need to divest from sudan," mutual funds now that they are discovered. tie the 8 year ignorance of global warming, but now its a priority. tie all this shit to this curmudegeon and watch the shit literally fly out of his depends. mc cain is a travesty. he is not the maverick and the sooner the media gets off their knees and zips up his trousers, the better. baztards all...
Posted by anthony at May 15, 2008 01:45 PMOy, back to the "Victory" drawing board for the Repubs---more hazy, delusional visions of "victory" over a phantom "enemy" in an (already) five year old occupation.
Some Codpiece in Chief---now he's boldly "predicting" victory and "predicting" the complete withdrawal of forces. Of course.
Hey, Commander Codpiece II, just to clue you in, it'll be YOUR JOB to accomplish this predicted "win", which apprently involves more fighting and escalatin'. How will you do it? A little light on the specifics, eh?
This is just a prediction of never beginning the end of Bush's Quagmire and just a game of semantics and rhetorical claptrap. The "sound" of change, without the slightest intent behind it. And the MSM doesn't ask a question, just happily scribbles away and can't even remember the phrase "flip-flopper".
Posted by euzoius at May 15, 2008 01:54 PMwhat Bush, McCain and the GOP doesn't realize is that the country is sick of the sabre-rattling tough guy facade. They don't understand that the Dems (both Clinton and Obama) are drawing millions of voters and millions of new voters because they/we don't want to play that game anymore. They are blind to that, because it's not what they want to believe. Let McCain tie himself to Bush on all this Terror crap....just a noose around his neck.

Posted by Bagley at May 15, 2008 04:31 PMMcSame: "My friends, my appeasing opponent does not wear a lapel pin. How can he chart the course to certain victory, as a devoted pin-wearer like me can clearly do?" (tepid cheers)
"I predict Victory. I feel Victory!! A very, very strong, powerfully smelly Victory building within me!" (weak cheers)
"The time has come for Victorious America to have an even greater helping of victorious victory, my friends. We've had victory after victory in our Golden Age of Victory thus far, but, my friends, I smell even more victory! Voluminous volumes of vast victory! A heady gas of victory! Which traitorous appeasers want to deny us and our universally victorious valorous troops! The victory that is already ours, like Vietnam was!"
"And finally my friends in victory, NO bailouts! Onward to Victory!"
(half cheers. McSame staff and MSM "journalists" display the special "McSame salute" and sing the "victory song")

Yawn....
Posted by Bagley at May 15, 2008 05:31 PMWhen is a Flip not a Flop? Why when it's done by a man of honor and integrity of course. The story lines practically write themselves. He didn't flip-flop you see, he has such honor and integrity that he, McCain, is man enough to admit when he is wrong and change his view. Isn't the lack of this quality something we deplore in Bush, they'll say. So how can you justify attacking McCain for his willingness to be persuaded to another point of view? Like I said, this stuff writes it's self.

What about B. Hussein Obama's post on his website, since changed, flat statement on the UTube debate that he would meet, UNCONDITIONALLY with Iran, Syria, North Korea, Venezeuela.
Now he is feigning indignation about a statement made by President Bush. President Bush never mentioned any names. Seems to me that the guilty get gabby.

Perhaps Obama should have taken one or two history courses too.
You're quite a pinhead, aren't you, Mockle?
Posted by euzoius at May 16, 2008 07:07 PMROTFLMAO
What did I post that was not the truth?
B. Hussein Obama is an empty suit. He has conned millions but it is getting more and more difficult. He is unraveling at a pretty astounding rate.
How long did he think he could keep all his underworld associations under wraps?
You just got sucked in by a very smooth, slick, snake oil salesman. Now issues are coming up and he can't handle it except with anger and accusations. What a prize!
"underworld associations....anger...unraveling"
Malarkle, you might want to lift your face out of the the right wing internet garbage troughs you gorge on, at least for a few minutes a day......for a nice bit of fresh air through the slop-encrusted nostrils!

poor Markle, his hero Saint Ronnie met with the leader of the Evvviiilllll Empire with no preconditions
Posted by gay veteran at May 17, 2008 02:00 PMHey Gay Vet.
You and a couple others here must have your own custom history books. You know, something like the "new math" some years back.
There were no "pre-negotians" when Gorbachov and Reagan met. Reagan had made demands and had Pershing missles being installed in Europe. Words about them had ben exchanged, Reagan said they would not be removed. At the meeting in Iceland, the Soviets DEMANDED, Reagan said no, Soviets walked out. Later the Soviets Signed the agreement with several "changes" so the soviets could maintain face.
Have a great week.
