now, if only there were a really principled bunch in the democratic party who would repeal most of these unconstitutional laws like patriot act etc and end this heinous war. but i wont hold my breath. still it's gotta end up better than the last 14 years

Also, every additional seat added to the overall majority makes each individual blue dog less critical. IOW, it is easier to allow a given number of blue dogs to "vote their conscince" on any given bill when you have a larger majority.
There's nothing but good coming out of seat gains in the house. even if some of them are blue dogs.
BTW, I too feel that 6 to 20 house seats is too low, even if you don't count the 3 that have already neen netted in that number. Ditto for the Senate.

After 08 Dems could have the whole banana. When they fail to get us out of Iraq, fail to get "free" health care for all Amercians, fail to fix the run away spending of entilements, fail to balance the budget, fail to "fix" the economy, fail to improve public school test scores, fail to get us to energy independence, and Global Warming fails to happen, they will spend the next four years blaming the ghost of GWB. It will be a fun time in the blogosphere.
