Actually their allegiance is to General Electric.
exactly, bobbski. and timmeh is the man, and keith one of the rung-climbing minions.
Posted by Turkana at June 7, 2008 01:56 PMI suppose if Al Gore had refused to concede, we'd have had no choice but to take to the streets.
Posted by dj moonbat at June 7, 2008 02:10 PMi think he meant this:
Dr. Peter Venkman: This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.
Mayor: What do you mean, "biblical"?
Dr Ray Stantz: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath of God type stuff.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Exactly.
Dr Ray Stantz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!
Dr. Egon Spengler: Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...
Winston Zeddemore: The dead rising from the grave!
Dr. Peter Venkman: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!
Post speech, Tweety and Keith started to pick on Hillary as usual: "18 million as she counts them", and "didn't mention Obama's name for 6 minutes".
Then Timmeh praised her and they slacked off.
Yea, we know what the pecking order is in the land of the misogynists.
They're not our friends, but they ARE Barack's friends. Do they and their corporate masters know something we don't? Let's remember that Obama's campaign effectively began the night of the first MSNBC debate--the single most outrageous and consequential act of media bias I've ever seen.
Perhaps their ferocious attacks on Hillary are driven by more than just their fear and loathing of icky older women.
Posted by cygnus at June 7, 2008 02:55 PMSo, friends, can we now return to gleefully bashing Republicans rather then each other? Can we, friend?
Posted by James E. Powell at June 7, 2008 03:00 PMBut you keep watching anyway and keep them in business.
Posted by the young judith at June 7, 2008 03:26 PMOlbermann is probably the only person allowed by the korporate media to rip into Bush
Posted by gay veteran at June 7, 2008 03:37 PMAgree with James E. Powell;
We have trashed each other enough over the past months. Now we are trashing the only true friends we have in the media. They are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. They are the only guys who ask the hard questions. Lord knows CNN won't ask hard questions. The most recent example was Kevin James (KRLA) who was being interrogated by Tweety. Wanna see? http://youtube.com/watch?v=YK0d8ENS__c
angryman - those guys are no friends of this Democrat. Cable news is for people who want to be entertained.

Thank God we've been spared another four years of Princess Margaret of Britain as our President- sort-of-if-Bill-lets-her. On to a whipping defeat of our first black man by a white man, John McQwazy who most likely name Condi Rice as his VP and there you are kids, a black woman President because you know Condi's people will arrange a hit to make her the African Queen.
Just a scenario. I'm moving to Honduras. This country sickens me.
Posted by Democrat at June 7, 2008 04:39 PMThe thread iummediately prior here on The Left Coaster, by Steve Soto, is entitled "Exiting with class and unity." Nice title, especially as it contrasts so markedly with the tone of this thread.
Posted by joel dan walls at June 7, 2008 05:48 PMMeanwhile, the ever classy Taylor Marsh asks today, "How'd she lose to this guy?"
Posted by joel dan walls at June 7, 2008 06:08 PMyoung judith,
welcome back, haven't seen you in a while. i don't watch tv "news"- occasional youtube excerpts, and some transcripts. i only read about keith and timmeh on mydd. neither of them are our friends.
Posted by Turkana at June 7, 2008 08:03 PMHi Turkana - thank you for the kind hello. I have been readin you but just not postin.
The corporate media is not our friend - they are the corporation's friend. The only media person I trust to be fair is Bill Moyers and I will crack in half if I find out he is a stinker so please dont tell me!
:-)
ps - this was me - I dont know why it cut my name off - odd.

bye now -
Posted by the young Judith at June 7, 2008 10:48 PMyoung judith,
that moyers doesn't have a corporate media gig is all the proof you need that he has what they most fear- integrity, intelligence, and talent.
Posted by Turkana at June 7, 2008 11:02 PMMoyers didn't sell his soul for twelve pieces of gold. He has always been one of my heros.
Posted by Judith#1 at June 8, 2008 04:35 AMDid you watch Moyer's "interview" of Rev Wright?
What did you think of it?
Posted by TIKI AL at June 8, 2008 07:28 AMTurkana - yeah, I know. Just curious to see what you said. He kept his trap shut duing this primary season which was very wise. So many forgot their dignity. mOr maybe it was that I saw they had no dignity. :-0
Hi Judith#1.
Posted by the young Judith at June 8, 2008 01:12 PMTiki Al - I dont know you - was that for me?
i watched most of it - I thought it was interesting. Moyers was trying to get closer to understanding the guy without just going for soundbites etc. Moyers is a sensitve person who gets more by listening than talking.
