McBush's town hall type speech today, I caught a bit of it on Cable TV. He was asked about Iraq and he stammered out talking points about the Surge and how well the Iraqi government is working, and you could easily see he was groping for thoughts. Very disjointed, and he looked like he was trying to get talking points off a teleprompter. Anybody who thinks McBush would be on equal ground with Obama in these Town Hall's is dreaming.
Chevron holds 60% of the company that holds the patent to large NIMH battery packs used in electric vehicles. Although successful in practice,Chevron sued Toyota to cease production of the large battery packs and the only NIMH battery packs available are small and used in hybrids or something hand assembled like the Tesla. The patent Chevron controls doesn't expire until 2014. Enjoy! Or better yet, divest big oil of the green technology patents it hold. Let them amke a choice. Better yet, nationalize big oil and force their hand on green technology.

But nooooo, that would have taken long range planning, which the gd mighty free market seems incabable of indulging in in any useful sort of way.
Check out the video's at the end, and no, that ain't me!
