Considering how close your candidate is to Bush, makes on wonder who's making the mockery? A Constitution Law professor from Harvard voting for FISA for one.
Posted by peter at July 14, 2008 04:10 AMPeter,
You are obviously a repug (single-issue idiot) because you are drinking the kool-aid. Bush entices illegals to this country (using big business), never bothers to enforce the immigration laws for 7 years and as a final insult arrests them and makes them criminals. Why don't you try selling your crap someplace else?
another day winding the Bush years down. Lets see....the Bush Admin has given up...yes peter, given up, attempting to force the Iraqis into accepting US Occupation forever. The main problem, it seems, is that Iraqis don't want to be a colony. The Iraqis want a withdrawal timetable, and come November, they'll get one.
Also, John McCain has given up, yep given up, supporting his main supporter Phil "the whiner" Gramm. McOld, who hired Gramm to give him economic advice since he admitted he had no economic ideas or knowledge himself, now admits he can't pick good advisers either. It occurs to me that Mc71 is a pretty bad candidate.
if all the illegals left the country, how big of an impact would it have on our economy? on romney's front yard, or mc cain's seven houses?
the fisa legislation would've passed anyway, a vote against would be symbolic, but not have changed anything. it does not cover the phone companies from criminal liablity. neither does it cover the current constitutionally inept administration.
it is common knowledge that all candidates track to the center to be elected. the battle is for independents, not the base. it seems folks on both sides of the aisle seem to forget that. the supreme court, women's rights, habeus corpus, our stature in the world was eviscerated under gwb's watch and mc cain's tacit or at times overwhelming approval.
war crimes for gawd sakes, and all you can point out is what? a vote for fisa? how many repubs voted against fisa??? the repub party drank the gwb flavored kool-aid, and are now in real jeopardy of answering for their foolishness. the massive sounds of shredders and flushing toilets eminating from the white house come november will cause shortages and hearing loss for a 50 mile radius-- resulting from these crooks trying to get rid of evidence...
face it, mc cain doesn't know the difference between sunni and shia. gramm works for and lobbied for ubs, who played a part in this mortgage debacle. he then hired a gwb advisor. more mc cain = more bush...
this is the only time in my life when i can honestly say more bush would make me physically ill...

November huh, they'll get one sooner than that. And those timetables...2011. I'm more than okay with that year provided they are secure.
And who pulls Daschle's strings since he's pulling Obamas.
ICE has been pretty busy for a few years. And your statement about "never" and "arrest"? If they never enforced there wouldn't be any arrest.

At least they won't steal the white house furniture like the Clintons did.
"In the 18 months since President Bush announced the surge, our troops have performed heroically in bringing down the level of violence. New tactics have protected the Iraqi population, and the Sunni tribes have rejected Al Qaeda — greatly weakening its effectiveness.
But the same factors that led me to oppose the surge still hold true." B Obama from NYTimes
He said the surge wouldn't work in 2007. He now says it worked and yet he says the "same factors still hold true." Nothings changed there? This guy's confused. Had we listened to this guy, how many more Iraqi's would be buried now? This guy's confused.
This guy's confused.
Your comedy routine continues! Let's see what you can do with these 61 changes of mind made by Ace McCain. At least he has a policy position, although never the same one twice.
Posted by phidipides at July 14, 2008 09:10 AMbut phidip,
the media loves mc cain, so his blatant flips count for nuttin. nuance means nothing so lets rag on obama, despite the lies, sticky fingers, and obfuscations by saint john and his campaign...
Posted by anthony at July 14, 2008 09:26 AMThe question for Obama: Will you prosecute the criminal acts that occurred in the highest levels of the Bush Administration, including, but not limited to violations of FISA and the torture statutes?
Posted by Nobody at July 14, 2008 10:49 AMNot going to happen.

Nobody, Here's what he said back in April.
After Downing Street, has a more recent letter from Obama on the issue.

do you say gwb is the best thing since sliced bread? are all of his policies good for the american people? did his cronies prosper in his 8 years as president? was he good for our country? did he do good for the poor, less fortunate, the veterans? does mc cain offer the same as him? does mc cain's record on vets equate to strong leadership? his stance on katrina? his stance on immigration, tax cuts, the economy, health care, the middle east? tell me, how exactly does he stack up? is he good for all of us, or does he tout more of the same? without rhetoric, explain please...

Oh, you mean like the Clintons stole the 'W' off the typewriters? God, you are really gullible aren't you? LOL
Posted by Judith at July 14, 2008 08:10 PMNot only is it a waste of time, it's pointless, because that backstabbing gutless coward isn't interested in debate, just distraction and unfocused debate. What the braindead troll wants is ill for us, and something to fill the worthless void of his own being for himself.
How stupid is it, how against whatever law and order lockstep that informs the gopper "brain," to lock up these illegal immigants and spend all of our precious all mighty tax payer dollars in the care and feeding of these criminals? How many times have we all read the gopper thugs rail against us imprisoning illegals instead of sending them back where they came from?
Yet now the genius of the gop has us brutalizing these poor immigrants for what? To terrorize them? Does the inhuman right, creatures like peter, have any solutions for any problem besides force and threat and killing and abusing other people?
Go ahead, you worthless git, throw all the lies and false research you want, we know what you are, what all you things are, heartless, mindless, parasites that thrive on human misery. After all, those suffering people are worse off than you, right?
