Comments: Letter From California

think positively - maybe somebody without money passed by and stole them to put up at their house thinking you were rich enough to buy more.

Hey, could be true!

Were your signs blocking traffic views, and therefore a safety concearn?

Does a guy you thought to be a Christian magician going by the name "Grand Wizzard" reside across the street?

Hard to match the dark blue, but I did get to paste over the McCain URL with one that says AARP.ORG on one set of yard signs, heh, heh.

They haven't noticed for over a week, now.

paradox: "Representative democracy is currently having a very hard time in the state of California, the governor screwing little people like elevator operators at the Capitol out of their jobs so he can somehow feel like he’s turning the screws on the Legislature to get the budget he wants."

I'm sorry, but I am not an admirer of the position of elevator operators.

Those four Sacramento elevator operators in question -- all of whom are older African-American -- only operate the elevators in the front part pf the building, where the chambers and leadership offices are located. 95% of the legislative offices are located in the adjoining annex, and the members and staff do not enjoy the same frivolous luxury.

Reassign those state employees to more productive tasks, and do away with those servile, demeaning positions that harken back to a thankfully bygone age, where those who presided over an obsolete social hierarchy demanded undeserved privilege.

I'm sorry about your loss Doxie; I have my Obama sign on my rear window and I get happy honks and smiles and thumbs up from fellow motorists here in Fairfax, VA which is a tad brainier politics-wise than many areas of the country.

I had a neighbor once in Arlington who had a cute little pine bush in her front yard, been growing there for years. Around Xmas, someone came alog and swiped it, for a cheap Xmas tree.

Cheer up and don't cry over it. What would Obama think?

maybe they confused them for Pepsi memorabilia.

Right now I'm playing the world's smallest violin for the Californians. You have perfect weather, you can go skiing on Friday and the beach on Saturday, and you have medical marijuana, which helps millions every day live without unbearable agony.

Sucks about your yard signs. Nobody should do that.

Just wondering: why isn't there some sort of recall for the Gropenfuhrer? Isn't he doing exactly the same thing that caused him to get electorated in a specail recall election in the first place?
