Yes, as I said the other day, Pakistan has a constitution that functions, where lawbreaking, authoritarian presidents are forced to resign under threat of impeachment by the national legislature.
Unlike Pakistan, we do not have a functioning constitution or national legislature, so the idea that Bush's rule by presidential decree, "signing statement" and retention of all information under bogus claims of "executive privilege" would be "stripped" from him is fairly silly.
We are voices in the wilderness at this point. Back to the cave, turkana. The Rule of law is now a myth, a cruel joke. We are now a thoroughly lawless system. The elites prefer that, and the people (plebs?) are too dumb to know what it even means.
The "law" now exists solely as a club against the weak and powerless. And elected Dem state officials in JesusLand.

You all write great posts. I prefer quality to quantity myself. Life intrudes.
Of course, I am not a lomng-time member so who cares what I say? :-)But I will defend my right to say it anyway.
Posted by the young Judith (tyj) at August 19, 2008 01:46 PMImagine my shock to find out today that god made "Bigfoot" out of a little 'possum and human DNA added to a whopping portion of rubber gorilla suit.
This was his most phoney creation since slapping together peter from the right wing looney parts bin.
