The idea that the wingnut neocon oilman Right would do ANYTHING to work toward "energy independence" is cretinous. "Defending" America's oil spigot is the main excuse for our current excitin' militarism and bloated military spending, which is all this criminal party and movement care about.

And Boobus Americanus will never figure that out, and indeed likely would prefer to fight wars over energy-obese America's gluttonous need for foreign energy resources rather that do the work and investment necessary to move forward in this area. Thus our future.

i travel from cadiz to gilbraltar monthly to get my pops some well deserved cognac. i see wind turbines throughout the landscape. they are huge, but their footprint is rather small. imagine a hundred foot pencil. when i travel stateside i see none of this. in my neighborhood, i see solar collectors for heating and electricity, a common sight here in sunny spain. i travel stateside, recently ontario california, and see none of this. we do not want to fix this problem in the u.s. oil has the guvment by the short and curlies. energy independence may be a fairytale, but energy diversity could happen. drill now drill here is not a strategy. nuke power is good, but where to store the waste, yucca mtn? jonny mac doesn't have that answer. we can expand drilling in the leased property, yet we choose not to. opening anwar is disastrous. exxon valdez anyone? besides the scotus overturned damages of the biggest spill in our history. there are expanding dead zones in the gulf of mexico, 40% of the nations seafood comes from that area. jonny mac's plan caters to big oil/ big energy. he has no intentions of looking into other forms of energy unless exxonmobilebpshell tells him to. the maverick is beholden to oil. it is in their interests to ensure his victory in november.

we have the ability to address our energy needs, yet ridicule a man for correctly claiming tune ups and tire inflation saves gas. america is a gluttonous nation, j mac, and big oil know this and play it like a harp.

we need to wake up...

This coming holiday season, whenever someone freezes to death, a GOP member earns his kickback.

Posted by shirt at August 21, 2008 07:47 AM

Yes "tune ups" and tire inflations save gas....but that is not what he said.

What he said IS ridicules.

Posted by jj at August 21, 2008 08:07 AM

What Obama said is guys like jj "take pride in being ignorant". That was certainly correct.

Posted by euzoius at August 21, 2008 08:22 AM

You really don't know what he said, do you?

Now we are getting to your problem,

Ignorance.

The information is out there..you just have to take the initiative to look for it.

Posted by jj at August 21, 2008 08:30 AM

You're like a 12 year old, jj---"I'm ignorant? You, too!" Pathetic, go eat some cookies with granny like a good boy....

Now oil is up $6 a barrel over US/Russia confrontations. Keep rattlin', blusterin' n' blatherin', Neocon McStooge. Both our economy and foreign policy are over a barrel, ha-ha.

Posted by euzoius at August 21, 2008 08:34 AM

WaPo reports that Commodity Futures Trading Commission, after demanding data from oil trading NYMEX market participants, concludes that 81% of trades are from financial firms speculating for investment clients on themselves. One speculating firm held 11% of total US contracts.

Amazing what using existing regulatory powers will do, isn't it?

Posted by euzoius at August 21, 2008 08:42 AM

s/b "clients or themselves". Oops

Posted by euzoius at August 21, 2008 08:44 AM

"What he said IS ridicules."
Posted by jj at August 21, 2008 08:07 AM

jj it is ignorant not to know the difference between ridicules and ridiculous...but of course your "expertise" is the art of ignorance to a criminal degree...keep proving that expertise...

Posted by headxray at August 21, 2008 09:04 AM

What he said IS ridicules.

And "drilling in forbidden places" kinda speaks about every republi-con's tiny pizzle. Why is everything you guys do so sexually loaded? Come out as gay already, you repressed republi-cons. Not even your minister will hold it against you...or maybe he will if you get lucky.

Anthony hasn't been to Texas nor the Palm Springs area in California. We have been harvesting wind for energy for a while across the US. Big oil Texas leads the country in wind energy and is about to launch the first wind farm off the coast. The very same concept that Senator Kennedy has been blocking off Hyannisport, Ma. Oilman T. Boone Pickens has been pushing wind power lately, but he also wants the US to take advantage of US drilled oil to breech the gap till alternate fuels are efficient and reasonable.

Hey Euz, thanks for the confirmation. Those speculators have been pumping campaign funds into Democratic coffers bigtime. Most of them have enriched the Obama campaign enough to propel him to be the nominee this year. Next weeks DNC should have a big sign reading, "brought to you by big oil speculators". They all read Al Gore's books and watched his presentations about driving the price up to ween the US off oil and went about to do so. When he and the IPCC received their Nobel Peace prizes, Oscars and other corresponding awards and prizes they just went hogwild with their speculations. We even had candidate Obama act surprised at how rapidly the price got to where it should be...he expected it to get there, just not so soon.

Oh Phid, another one... Electionprojections.com came up with the same number RCP has. 270towin.com, Fivethirtyeight.com, electoral-vote.com, they all indicate similar pictures. And to look at the maps of each of them, how similar they look to the 2004 map. Where's the discontent that these very same pollsters keep pointing out? McCain isn't getting that discontent attached to his candidacy.

I thought maybe you found a job....for real. Then someone said that you had extended therapy.

Feeling better XRay/GV?

Why such juvenile responses?

I don't expect you to be intelligent enough to understand this but here goes: it's called the pot calling the kettle black, numbnuts...juvenile?
Tell me you're really not that stupid......as far as therapy..you puke party criminals are way past therapy having any effect...you all need to be incarcerated permanently.....since I used a long word I'll translate for you...locked up for good...

Posted by headxray at August 21, 2008 10:52 AM

You do need to take a deep breath and relax. You are verging on silly.

Your guy has not lost yet...no need for bitterness.

There will be plenty of time for that.

Try and stick to one identity. It will help..I would imagine at times you lose track of who you are and what you really beieve in.

Posted by jj at August 21, 2008 11:08 AM

another demonstration of your level of intelligence jj? "beieve"
like I said stupid, criminal, and way beyond the help of therapy...I give you jj the epitome of the criminal party....

Posted by headxray at August 21, 2008 11:35 AM

"Your guy has not lost yet...no need for bitterness."

...what happened to "it's over", "it's over now", "now it's so over", and the ever popular, "don't you realise it's over?"

How about a little consistancy? You're putting doubts in the tiny reward centers of the other little trolls "brains".

Posted by TIKI AL at August 21, 2008 12:03 PM

Why hell, if you nit pick and disqualify spelling errors on this blog not much would get said....on second thought...

Good effort though.

Now try for a little substance.

Posted by jj at August 21, 2008 12:18 PM

nope, can't say that i've been to tx. don't really wanna go, but thanks for the info peter...

tx and palm springs are probably the exception. i'm talking about countries. entire countries invested in alternative energy... france, germany, belgium, spain, and holland. what about the u.s?

jj: tell me exactly how mc cain's plan will help the regular citizenry and not big oil? tell me exactly how he is not in their back pockets. tell me exactly his plan for iraq that doesn't include talking points or afghanistan or russia for that matter. tell me exactly how his sabre rattling will encourage sovereign nations to sit at the table? tell me exactly how his foreign policy will not harbor wwiii? tell me exactly how my 9 and 4 year old sons will be safe in our country if mc cain takes office? tell me exactly how diplomacy doesn't work. tell me how obama's call for a timetable in iraq is not good judgement especially since the agreed with the potus to enact one? tell me how mc cain's voicing malaki will not ask the u.s. to withdraw troops just because he knows him plays true? tell me how the country hasn't been hijacked by gwb and his cronies? tell me how every person who served with jonny mac does't call him a hothead nor feels he has the temperment to be the potus? tell me how he will keep my children safe as well as everyone who posts here? his tax plan is butt. his energy plan is butt. the middle east is a hot bed and he can't tell the differene from sunni and shia? "bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb iran" is his policy. we step in that hornets nest and we're fubar'd. that's who you want as a cinc? if so, then i'll try my damndest to stay in europe.

Posted by anthony at August 21, 2008 12:39 PM

"Why hell, if you nit pick and disqualify spelling errors on this blog not much would get said....on second thought..." (jj)

At least you are consistantly wrong:

realise
re·al·ise [ r ə lz ]
transitive and intransitive verb
Definition:
U.K.
Another spelling of realize

A troll AND a spelling Nazi? What power!

Posted by TIKI AL at August 21, 2008 12:59 PM

if so, then i'll try my damndest to stay in europe.Posted by anthony at August 21, 2008 12:39 PM

After reading that negative, sickening diatribe, I would suggest that you stay in Europe...matter of fact, if you are not already there, you should go immediately. Your kids SHOULD be safe there under the protection of all the European leaders
.
Word of caution though...there was a time a few decades back when parents were desparately trying and most failing to get their children out of harms.way.

Try to remember that the next time that you decide to ask a series of stupidly pathetic questions.

Posted by jj at August 21, 2008 01:30 PM

asking jj to say anything even remotely intelligent is like asking the chimporer or shooter to solve a problem..any problem...when dealing with the puke party and it's followers level of mentality...forget it..it's simply not possible for an intelligent human capable of any independent thought to dumb down to the puke lack of common sense, or inability to reason or think...

Posted by headxray at August 21, 2008 01:49 PM

Anthony, those are two sites I personally know about. Believe me that there are more wind sites around the US, many more. I bet you'd be surprised how many there are in America?

Posted by peter at August 21, 2008 03:15 PM

Your words are as stale as 2 week old fruit cake....word appropriate.

Posted by jj at August 21, 2008 03:39 PM

jj:

you are an asswipe. i asked you to answer legitimate questions, and you can't. you simply can't. you say i had a "negative, sickening diatribe?" i asked you to define your candidate. you can't. without talking points, you are lost. i said nothing negative. i challenged you to defend your positions. you didn't, or refuse to. but then you attack me for wanting the best for my kids? if you read my post dipshit, you'd know i'm in europe already. lived here the past 5 years. speak two languages. oops. i guess that makes me elitist. working on a third. how bout you? did you know the schools here are leaps ahead of ours stateside? did you know that the europeans care for their kids like we care for ours. wwiii is a real possibility under mc cain, and that's ok with you-- you prick. i quote sting: "i hope the russians love their children too." do you love yours? do you have any? do you realize a draft would put them in harms way? is that ok with you? for them to fight a fruitless, avoidable war? now i'm negative, see there's a difference between questioning and attacks. i figured since you have the intelligence to string two sentences together you could reason, but i guessed wrong. apologive for the assumption. see, that's an attack also. i just want you to know the difference between questioning and actual attacks. do you get it now? or is your head too far up jonny mac's ass to see the difference? rule number one in debating, know your opponent. rule number two: don't take a water pistol to a gun fight. again, real s-l-o-w, how is jonny mac, and his bomb everyone mentality right for the good ol' u. s. of a? see, that's a legit question too. it's 0133 aqui (spanish for "here") so i'll just wait till demain (french for tomorrow) to see your response? i expect it in english ca va?

Posted by anthony at August 21, 2008 04:34 PM

peter:

i would be, but it would be a welcome and pleasant surprise...

Posted by anthony at August 21, 2008 04:36 PM

My "kids" are already in harms way. As a matter of fact, one of them will probably, at some point in the future have to come over to one of the Embassies (or elsewhere) of your great European safe havens, where they have the great schools ( have the liberals not ruined them yet?) risk his life to save your silly ass.

He will probably know which one you are. You will be the one waving your U.S passport saying "Save me first, I have always loved the United States". in one of your three languages. Silly boy. I would suggest at that time you use ENGLISH . Save Blither, Blather and Baloney for another time

Posted by jj at August 21, 2008 05:14 PM

Post Script

....If you learn another language, might I suggest Russian?

If your friend Vlad the Putin decides on more Great Adventures, being able to greet his troopers in their tongue might come in handy.

Hopefully you are in Spain. That would provide a buffer; first Germany to slow them down, and France to stop them. The German Army should be fresh as they are saving their troopers in the very safest spots of Afghanistan.

Of course if that does not work, the good thing is that you will not have to go very far to get Cognac AND there is a very large beach there.

Republican Sen. Norm Coleman received the endorsement today from the Carpenter's Union. The backing is a switch -- the 13,000-member union endorsed Democratic Sen. Paul Wellstone in 2002 and Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar in 2006.

"While the majority of our union's political endorsements tend to favor Democrats...we want to talk about jobs and the economy not in what party someone belongs to," said union political director Kyle Makarios on a YouTube video

Posted by peter at August 21, 2008 08:11 PM

well jj:

it seems you cannot answer the questions posed.
i suggest you try your chickenhawk mantra on someone else.

i wish your kid luck and safe return home. sorry this admin put him there in the first place, on a lie. tell me, if he/she gets hurt for this lie, will you be ok then?

after all, there will be other wars my friend other peoples kids in harms way for a "maverick," who graduated 4th from the bottom of his class...

Posted by anthony at August 22, 2008 01:27 AM

and now you're making up fake children jj...get out of your mommie's basment jj and go enlist..show your support for your fellow criminals....jj the joke...
