as I posted in another thread, both Biden and Obama love financial services firms - the main beneficiaries of any privatiztion of Social Secuurity. While I think that is off the table for the foreseeable future due to the mortgage swindles, I think they will keep their mouths shut on the issue so they dont ruffle feathers.
Doesnt sound like fighters to me - but still better than the GOP.

Obama needs to run a campaign of substance. Connect the dots - the economy is down because we can't afford to wage war to control oilfields, the gas and oil multinationals will take advantage of war to gouge and hike prices, we need a national energy policy to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, we need universal health care and greatly increased funding of higher education, and we need a small draft provision that mandates that when the WH and Congress choose to use military force against another country, there is a draft of the children and grandchildren of these policy and decision makers. A simple lottery that pulls 10% of the able-bodied into the military will cause the "deciders" to think hard about whether any military adventure is worth the risk to "our" children.

Obama repeatedly addressed all the lies, smears, and policy stupidity of McCain. The choice of which one would stick was up to the MSM. Unfortunately, the chattering class decides what is newsworthy based on the needs of the weird world they inhabit, not the world we inhabit.
Is Obama flawed? And Biden, too? Unfortunately, there is no "Messiah" candidate in the United States, nor any place else in the world. The person you want running simply does not exist as a political animal.
At least you are willing to get out there and vote for the better candidate and not let high-minded principles throw the election to the republi-cons...as happened in 2000 when the liberals stayed home because Gore was so flawed as to move to the middle.
