Comments: MBNA Is Bush's Top Fundraiser - With An Assist From A War On Terror Failure

I propose a consumer attack on MBNA. Today, I paid off my balance and sent them back the credit card, with a note saying that I couldn't continue to do business with a company that feels the need to spend so much to undermine democracy in America. I'll put up with astronomical interest rates (really -- I will) so long as I can fool myself into thinking that the reason for it is economic in nature. But when it becomes clear that the real reason is to maintain the office of a liar and right-wing nutcase, then I'm afraid that whatever semblance of a business relationship we had is at an end.

I know I'm a drop in the bucket, but seeing as how financial institutions in this country make most of their profit off of their small credit card holders, perhaps a groundswell from us could hit 'em where it hurts.

Yeah, I know. I'm dreaming.
