When the corporate press/media reports it, they will turn Amy Goodman into Michael Moore.
Posted by James E. Powell at September 1, 2008 06:43 PMThis is what it means to live in an authoritarian police state----this in two cities that voted over 75% for Kerry.
When one talks about the constitution having been perverted under Bushco, it's not hyperbole....
Posted by euzoius at September 1, 2008 06:53 PMGood god, mild mannered Amy Goodman? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING.
Posted by Judith at September 1, 2008 07:18 PMSet your tasers to automartyr and begin.
Posted by Toby Petzold at September 1, 2008 07:49 PMHillary voters for McCain
Wow. BOTH of them????
Seriously, I do remember Rush telling his listeners to cross party lines to vote for Hillary during the primaries. I think we can safely conclude that the vast majority of people in these fly-by-night organizations are from the same stock.
Posted by Anonny at September 1, 2008 07:52 PMHer conspicuously tactless approach got her just what she was asking for. What makes the bigheaded think they can defy lawful authority without suffering consequence? She likely won't realize how fortunate she is in not suffering face grinding on pavement, or shoulder dislocation as is customary in some locales.
Posted by onar at September 1, 2008 07:52 PM"defy lawful authority without suffering consequences"
Tells you all you need to know about these authority-worshipping children. gonad would have been cowering in the cellar when the red coats marched into town, hoping he would get a chance to wash the officers underwear.....when we call these pukes bedwetters, it's absolutely accurate.
Sieg Heil, onar! Snap to! Lawful authority demands it!
Posted by euzoius at September 1, 2008 08:03 PMIf John McCain can't spot trouble coming from Alaska, then how in god's name can he protect America?
Posted by bob5540 at September 1, 2008 08:07 PMI am ashamed that Phoenix and Mesa, Az sent riot control squads up there to "help out".
They did not offer the help, but were asked, so they just decided to be nice. They made it very clear on our local news that "it was not political!"
After all, how could arresting Amy Goodman be political?
Posted by TIKI AL at September 1, 2008 08:09 PMThey're so busy playing up the forbidden fruit angle that they miss the pie!
That's a bit like an eager Chic-ock-wah (Chihuahua) dog covering a 12 lb steak to keep it from a Rottweiler. Lot's of squeaking, no effect.
Hillary Voters for McCain.
The giveaway was the repetition of the Obama birth certificate nonsense. It's a white supremacist site. Why am I not surprised Muck is there?
I'm still wondering why Palin gave her daughter the option of an abortion but wants to deny it to every other woman? Hers is a mystical stupidity.
Posted by phidipides at September 1, 2008 08:25 PMDayyyymmmmnnnn!!!
Palin is the gift that just keeps on giving! She was a member of an Alaskan seperatist group called AIP(Alaskan Independence Party). You know...secede from the union independence. Alaska first!
McCain's motto? "Country first". Just an aside to Gigolo John: John, buddy. The definition of vetting is available on the internet tubes. Hell, just use a dictionary if you have to. It's under "V", not "C" followed by "U". And get that Aricept refilled. K?
Posted by phidipides at September 1, 2008 08:43 PMCrap, they publicized the hell out of the police holding cells in Denver.
What do the holding cells look like in Minn.?
Oh, that's right, the people who tried to report on it still haven't been let out.
Our local fox news reported 10,000 anti-war protesters at the convention who were for the most part peaceful, but some got ugly.
"Some" turned out to be 2 who had their faces hidden, and waited for the cameras to roll to break 2 store windows.
Have 2 disruptive republican trolls been suspiciously missing today?
Would have been nice if the real protestors caught and beat the 2 card carrying undercover republicans and turned them over to the police.
Posted by TIKI AL at September 1, 2008 09:31 PMMalkin is covering it.
rofl
Posted by Simp at September 1, 2008 09:33 PMYup. Them protesters looked dangerous.
Posted by phidipides at September 1, 2008 10:12 PMAnd this attack on police. Horrific!
Posted by phidipides at September 1, 2008 10:34 PM"Set your tasers to automartyr and begin."
So, unlawful arrest is fine with you Toby? The right to assemble doesn't apply in this Country anymore? You hate freedom? Go fuck yourself Toby!

Posted by Judith at September 2, 2008 02:14 AMOh, and Donna Brazile got peppered sprayed. Amy Goodman, Donna Brazile? Oh my god, those dangerous freedom loving, right to assemble loving bitches got what they deserved. Right trolls? Welcome to the new America where freedom is just another meaningless word.
Posted by Judith at September 2, 2008 02:24 AMWow, even Toby has come out of the woodwork. Things must be desperate for the GOP.
Posted by Judith at September 2, 2008 02:45 AMMan, you really have to dig for headlines talking about the protests this morning.

Idio, who do you think?
Haven't seen anything about the protest in the MSM.
Posted by Judith at September 2, 2008 06:07 AMThings must be desperate for the GOP.
Their perspiration smells like desperation! Dontcha love it when they start telling us to play nice?
Posted by phidipides at September 2, 2008 06:24 AMYou're done, Randi, Marshalleen, Salsa, Slave Holder - ed.
Posted by Randi at September 2, 2008 08:10 AMwho .... have to start the violence? idiosynchronic 05:18 AMGenerally agents provocateurs. All those groups have been infiltrated by FBI agents and informers who then instigate acts that are designed to discredit the group. If you believe in the rights granted to you by the Constitution, trust no one. Posted by Mike at September 2, 2008 11:23 AM
Who is she? A marxist with a euphemistically named TV show? She's no journalist, but an ideologue who would impose her own vision for the world on the vast majority of the rest of us.
