Comments: Daily Polling Report 10/7

By the way, it appears that Obama is competing pretty hard on the ground in West Virginia, even if he isn't spending much ad money there. It's probably not the state that will put Obama over 270, but having an active campaign in another state is a good thing for building the Party at least.

Unless Obama lights an American flag on fire on stage tonight, it's over. I expect a solid double digit lead next week after all of McCain's embarrassing Sean Hannity smear tatics this week.

Hopefully, Obama won't have a "political capital" moment when he takes office. Or if he does, hopefully he spends that capital more wisely.

I'm wondering how many of what were previously "reliably" Boosh/Republican states, or even "in-play"/"battlegrounds" have presently a Repub AG, Repub USA, or Repub SecState that can suddenly announce massive "voter fraud" investigations just before Election Day? Do you seriously believe that the right-wing Rove Machine is actually going to bow to "the will of the voters"? HAW!

And no sooner than had I posted the above comment, I read that the Nevada SecState has ordered ACORN officials to respond to allegations of "fraudulent voter registration forms". Apparently a "task force" of state/Fed types had been organized TWO MONTHS AGO to look into reports of...wait for it..."widespread voter fraud". And isn't Nevada now leaning slightly to OBama? It ain't over 'til it's over, people...remember: it's not casting the ballot, it's counting the vote.

Don't go coast to coast AM on me...

barrisj,

I can tell you that OH's government has changed hands from 04, where the then SecState Ken Blackwell ooops forgot to have enough machines in Democratic districts causing long waits and other barriers.

This year however they have same day registration and voting already in progress. It's a whole other world. But your right not every state will be like that.

The Katherine Harrises of the world still loom.

BTW everyone, 269/269 might not be good enough. McC could snake one vote from Maine giving him a 270/268 victory based on those states. Hopefully his lead will continue to crystallize after tonight's debate and he can gain a comfortable lead in one of the big swing states.

Bingo.

It's all over except for counting the Senate seats.

God, I wish I could be there when Lieberman is told to kiss off forever.

Be glad you didn't choose "My friends". There's a prescription for alcohol poisoning.
