Not oddly dated - necessarily dated. It seems it might be too much, but I think was a necessary choice to make the first part about the individual candidates, and then maybe produce a second half concerning each candidate's general run, including their choices for VP. Not like one 2 hour news documentary doesn't sound like overkill to begin with . .

Anjha, recently linked an article about hate and intolerance, and the promoting of the perception that Barack Obama is an enemy, and not an opponent.

Yesterday on the news, Congressman Russ Carnahan had the words "Traitor," "Bailout for China is treason," and "Psalms 2" spray painted on two vehicles, a political sign and the sidewalk.
Congresswoman Claire McCaskill also had a message demanding her resignation along with the same message.

Psalms 2 refers to those in charge who "gather together against the Lord." It goes on to say,
"I am warning you - his wrath will soon begin."

A similar incident of vandalism happened to six congressman in Minnesota earlier in the week. The vandals used similar phrases, including the Psalm 2 reference.

and

Republican Congressman Todd Akin of Missouri is running a campaign ad saying his opponent is a 'Socialist.'

We have enter a new phase of politics, and it is very ugly and dangerous.

In 2006, the Republicans in the Missouri Legislation decided that we could no longer vote 'straight ticket.' For years I could vote a straight ticket in Missouri, cutting the time it took to vote in half. There is no rational reason to have changed this, other than to create a longer waiting time to vote.

Here is the latest scare about Obama spreading the wealth from the right.

Here is a transcript of the video. I haven't found an unedited version.

I'm a bit worried about the "spread the wealth" and Pelosi/Reid bogey monster argument being effective but I'm hoping that enough people are solid enough about Obama not to be swayed. I just feel like Obama's been on defense this last week and will be for the next week.

Hey - Obama is not "spreading the wealth" he is spreading the tax relief to the people who really need it.

McCain gave a "big speech" this morning on "economic policy."

The only time that is was interesting was when he used Obama's exact phrases. Then he repeatedly lied. He also was stuttering and flumoxed just like on MTP. He looked angry and old. He kept yelling about Obama - which is not what you do during a major policy speech. He also did this wierd introduction of his advisors. People who no one would ever have heard of. It was bizarre and did not sound presidential at all.

Judith, do you have the link to that article? The MSM had better get out the truth about the violence that these fucks are spreading.

Palin speaking at an event in Virginia a little while ago on MSNBS: "And we've got Joe the plumber's son and Jack the hunter... Vicky the realtor ...Yes! And one of my favorite's last night was...I am Joe Mama!" (oops!)

My favorite is "Sarah the racist!"

Ahhhh. Poor little put upon fundamentalist idiots. They are using another quote they don't understand from a book they've neither read nor understand. They would have been better served by staying home and slapping their wives around.

I believe it was CNN ( but I was changing the channel a lot yesterday) had several pics of vandalism to McCain/Palin supports -- one even threatening death if "white boy" wins.
The thing is, the impression I got from all this pics of vandalism ... was the same as the hoax last week with "B" Girl... in other words people doing it themselves and then trying to use it to get attention.

KJS: So they are showing the fake crap and ignoring the real violence? Is that what you are saying?

What a bunch of dicks.

Look at these stories:

Disgusting

Disgusting

These people are so horrible. I really should not be surprised, but gawd, what a bunch of horrible people people.

They are republi-KKKons. So it is not surprising that they are like Baathists, only much much worse. Early on my mother explained to me how a few bad people can make a whole group of people look bad. What I've learned is that republi-KKKons are, on a whole, a bad group of people with a few good people sprinkled in.

McCain/Palin 08: Scum voting for scum!

Will the Ted Stevens guilty verdict on all 7 counts affect the election? (CNN)

"Will the Ted Stevens guilty verdict on all 7 counts affect the election?"

Stevens + Palin = BFF. So glad the verdict came out before the election.

In other news:

Will Palin denounce these domestic terrorists?

It is funny to me to see McSame throwing things against the wall. This redistribution thing seems to be sticking however. It is unfortunate that people will vote so that they can't get a tax break.

This is usual republican bullshit where they muddy the water so much that the "low info voter" don't know what the hell is going on. They vote against their own self interest. Shame on McSame and Caribou Barbie
