Now that’s a pumpkin.
See more, get stencils a Href="http://yeswecarve.com/">here.
After helping the twins with theirs (ghosts), carving a couple more this morning for the lovely Dr. and myself.
Mine is the "Oooobama" and hers is the "Vote"
Posted by Simp at October 27, 2008 09:09 AMI'm kinda interested in how the McOld campaign is actively trying to throw Sarah the Wondergirl under the bus. "Diva"? I see a much grumpier McGrump on the trail the last few days, I bet his "handlers" are on tippy-toes around him now, not wanting to draw the infamous profane rath of the hothead. In short, the final days of the old fellas campaign are starting to look pretty ragged. The scary thought of the day: he'll still be a Senator, and I'm guessing he'll be quite the thorn in the side of Pres Obama. On that topic, by what process will the Senate seats of Obama and Biden get filled?
Posted by T2 at October 27, 2008 09:40 AMIs the race tightening? Is the race tightening? Many in the right wing press breathlessly ask.
Another mixed day in the national polls. Two areas of hope for McPain are Rasmussen, which suddenly dropped from +8 to +5 (51-46), a very unusual (for Rasmussen) 3 point change from one day to the next, and R2000 which has shown +14, +11, +9 and +5 the last 4 successive days.
No other pollster is seeing that pattern today. Gallup is flat in LV-1 and up +1 in LV2 and RV to +10 in both those models. Everyone else is flat.
State polls aren't showing trends on any given day, but compared week to week there is a clear pattern this past week of the blue states staying blue, the toss-ups staying toss up, and some of the close red states moving toward toss-up.
Logically, nothing to worry about. But I am SO looking forward to Obama's acceptance speech in 8 days so I can stop obsessing about this.

Posted by Seven of Six at October 27, 2008 11:35 AMMan, John McCain just can't catch a break.
He was all set to make Monday's news cycle all about Obama's secret Communist plan ("redistribute the wealth") while an independent (wink wink) 527 launched a Rev Wright ad in FL, PA, and OH. No doubt planning to have that ad run for free on all the news shows.
Then, suddenly, his running mates former BFF Ted Stevens is convicted on ALL COUNTS just minutes before the BATF announces they broke a skinhead plot to assassinate Obama and massacre 100+ blacks. Kind of makes the Ashley Todd hoax look even worse by comparison.
And, adding insult to injury, there is the tape of Palin today hearing, but not responding to, an audience member shouting about Obama that "he's a nigger!" Which will nicely connect her behavior to the assassination plot.
I can just hear Rove saying how unfair this is to McCain.
