a poll in Texas reveals 23% of Texans think Obama is a muslim. Sad, but in another context not so much. After all, 23% of the nation still approve of the job Bush is doing. So if you were ask that 23% what they think of Obama, your probably going to get "muslim commie" regardless of whether they know better or not.

Has anyone talked about this yet? Lieberman to lose committee chairmanship. Bwahahahaha!

Someone call "Joe the Plumber".

"Joe the Senator's" career has been swept down the toilet and he can't get it back out.

Who's that over there laughing her head off?

Oh, it's "Karma the Bitch".

And, lastly, Robert Wexler needs contributions. The Right Wing Millionairres are trying to take him down. We need to protect the good Democrats and stand by them when they stand up for us. Wexler pushed for impeachment hearings.

And, very last this is too cool.

Paradox, my post of links was held. Guess there are too many. Please release me, let me go.

Heehee. That made me chuckle.

Coleman sues Franken.

Let's hope that works out as well as when O'reilly tried to sue him. Turned Franken's book into a best seller, didn't it? WATB 'pukes.

"a poll in Texas reveals 23% of Texans think Obama is a muslim"

Credo joining the fight to protect voters.

Damn, the liberal left sure seems to have its shit together this year.

(PS: Credo is the best mobile co/long distance co that there is. They used to be my long distance carrier b4 we switched to cable ld. I would get statements with cheap offers for Progressive books and stuff. It was like belonging to a book club without the pressure or having to buy. It rocked. I miss them.)

I'm with Credo, Anjha, yes they're very good.

For defamation!!!

Ha. Ha. Ha.

You know how impossible that defamation is to prove? Especially in politics.

During the gubernatorial race in 1998, Coleman filed and later dropped a complaint against his Democratic rival Hubert Humphrey III over an issue of unfair campaign practices. In 2002, the state's Republican party (operating, ostensibly, on Coleman's behalf), filed a complaint against then Senator Paul Wellstone, accusing him of inciting "union thugs" to rough up a GOP cameraman. And, again in 2002, the Coleman campaign filed a separate suit against Wellstone for distorting his stance on social security.

He. He.

I bet Coleman is one of those anti-lawyer Senators too! Frivilous lawsuits! Frivilous lawsuits!

Posted by Anjha at October 30, 2008 02:04 PM

Yeah, Anjha, I'm sure he does hates him some trial lawyers. What a whiner!

...I wish only 23% of Texans believed that the early peeps held dino rodeos in the Garden of Eden.

You mean the Flintstones lied to me? The bastids!

Posted by iamcoyote at October 30, 2008 02:23 PM

McCain campaign had to bus in 4000 school children to attend event.

What kind of friggin field trip was this!? If this was done to my kid the school district would get its ass sued. (Friviolus lawsuits!Frivilous lawsuits! Frivilous lawsuits!)

Coleman sues Franken.

Next, McRage will be suing Obama.

The daily trackers are in and it's a good day for Obama.

+2: Rasmussen (51-46), Zogby (50-43), Gallup LV-1 (50-45)

+0: Gallup LV-2 (51-44), ABC/WaPo (52-44)

-1: Hotline (48-42), R2000 (50-45)

Not counting IBD/TIPP, and if you read fivethirtyeight's coverage of IBD/TIPP's explanation for their recent crazy numbers ("oops" doesn't begin to cover it) it's clear that they are novices at this polling thing.

The weighted average is about a 0.5% increase for Obama, to just over 6%. None has a less than 5% lead.

All movements are likely just noise, however what it tells us is that the recent shifts towards McCain in Rasmussen, Gallup, and Zogby have reversed, and in the case of R2000 have stablized.

Fox junkies are atwitter over the Fox/OD poll showing a sudden shift to a 3% lead from 9% a week ago. Opinion Dynamics does not have a good reputation as a pollster, in part because they don't bother with weightings. This sample has a lot fewer Democrats than their last one did, accounting for the difference.

There is also a lot of talk about CNN's weekly poll showing a shift to a 5% lead from a 9% a week ago. Given the margin of error that's consistent with the daily trackers and nothing to worry about.

I saw that one earlier, Anjha. Those poor kids. And how pathetic is McCain that he has to trick 'em to get 'em in the door, while kicking out a bunch of kids once they're inside 'cos they look like troublemakers? Can't remember where I saw it, though, so no link.

Posted by iamcoyote at October 30, 2008 02:34 PM

And how pathetic is McCain that he has to trick 'em to get 'em in the door,

I didn't read the trick? What did he do?

Posted by Anjha at October 30, 2008 02:42 PM

I read that article yesterday about him ejecting people - trying to pre-empt any possible protest.

Oh ya, Idio posted it at our place.

Posted by Anjha at October 30, 2008 02:45 PM

Loved the links paradox. I hadn't read the Rude One in a while. Must keep my sense of humor.

On the Khalidi issue, Juan Cole eviscerated the McLame Campaign.

Damn those PLO terrorists, how come he was born in New York! Must not be "Real America"!

Posted by Seven of Six at October 30, 2008 02:54 PM

I shudder to even contemplate the idea of McCain winning, but the postings above about McCain's rallies (bussing in local high schools to fill empty spaces, evicting McCain supporters who "looked" like protesters, calling on Sam-the-Skinhead only to find he wasn't there) make me think that if ever he did become President the whole administration would descend into pure chaos unseen since ... well ... ever. Neither he, nor his team, has one iota of management skill.

Think Roger Smith and GM. Or Edward Heath and Britain. Or Herbert Hoover.

Posted by Anonny at October 30, 2008 02:58 PM

On the Khalidi issue

For the record, the news shows that I've seen simply aren't buying. They've all pointed out that McCain gave a ton of money to this guy's organization, and fully questioned the entire premise of the argument.

Posted by Anonny at October 30, 2008 03:02 PM

Oh ya, Idio posted it at our place.

Yeah, that one, maybe at one of the links, 'cos I remember a girl crying because she'd already voted for McCain, and couldn't understand why she was kicked out.

Anyhow, is anything more hilarious than godbots praying to a golden calf? I don't think so! Do they even read that book they use to bash people with?

Posted by iamcoyote at October 30, 2008 03:02 PM

I didn't read the trick? What did he do?

Come on, you don't think the kids realized they were going, do you? They prolly all thought they were going to the zoo! In a way, I guess they were.

For all the talk of a "tightening race", do reporters really believe the outcome is in doubt?

My own take, based on their behavior and story choice is: no. The tightening angle is something that keeps interest up, gives them something to talk about, and of course with 50+ polls per day there always will be 2 or 3 you can pick as evidence of a possible tightening of the race.

But: I've seen lots of stories talking about what will happen if Obama wins and none if McCain wins. Topics have included: the Obama transition, the Obama presidency, replacement Senators for Obama and Biden, what McCain and Palin do after they lose, whither the GOP, pre-post-mortems of the McCain campaign, etc. Topics have not included the opposite of the above.

In fact, of all the articles talking about the post-election Senate, not ONE has noted that if McCain wins the election the Democratic Arizona governor might appoint a Democratic replacement for McCain. (It's not clear she would, but my point is that topic is never discussed.)

In fact, even though Fox news is participating in pushing all the McCain attacks (after all, they have to please their demographic), there are signs they too don't think McCain has any chance. For example, Neil Cavuto on Fox ripped McCain to his face for having no consistent economic strategy. Cavuto said that he didn't agree with Obama's strategy, but at least Obama was consistent from the beginning to the end of the campaign. (McCain mumbled and lied in response.) This is NOT the sort of conversation a Fox anchor has with the Republican candidate if he has a chance of winning -- this is the sort of conversation you have when you are assigning blame for the loss.

Posted by Anonny at October 30, 2008 03:11 PM

Anonny, I think you're absolutely right. The pundits have to keep up appearances, but they're pretty sure what's going to happen, you can tell. Still, it's good that they keep pretending, we want everyone who can do so to vote.
