If you lok at the roll call, you'll see that there were a number or Rep who join into this vote, and 4 Dems who voted against it.

The problem is not that Dems are naively expecting the Reps to coopoerate, it's that the Dem caucus is fragile on many issues, and to get something passed Obama/Redi/Pelosi are trying to cobble together a coalition.

The only good Repug is a Repug unseated from office.

That might seem to be unfairly prejudiced, but it's based on decades of evidence, and I've seen none that would disprove it.
