Comments: False Security Behind Walls

30 December 2008. We have a huge presence in Iraq, the military and untold private contractors, at untold cost, plus we are surely paying lots of cash to various tribal leaders, all of which have secured a semblance of peace. While I do not support the invasion or occupation, sadly, when the USA leaves there will probably be wholesale genocide... The already decimated Sunnis and Christians will take more hits. Then do we end up with a theocracy like Iran?

Thanks, President Bush

Please. we have won in Iraq and are completely victorious over our enemy.

Liberals would trade all that in for defeat.

Please. we have won in Iraq

Oh really? Well, hey, Don Pardo, why don't you just tell us what we've won, huh? 'Cos if this is victory, I'm about ready for a look at liberal defeat.

Iraq did not have security problem until the United States blasted its way in and turned everything on its head. The United States is the problem, not the solution. There will no real return of security until the United States is gone from the country.
