Comments: Back To Work

Great to see you post Steve. Excellent article as always. The words flow so smooth.

I'm willing to hold off judgement as well. Revel in the fact that the bu$h/cheney cabal is gone. Of course hoping they get their just desserts.

I have some concerns about a few of Obama's picks, his economy team is one... worried his economic group will be more of the same, when we need bold innovation, more regulation and slow (or stop) privatization.

Salazar at the Interior is another concern. He's such a moderate, will he cave to pressure from energy big wigs or will he protect the environment. However, I'm glad he will be out of the Senate with his Gang of 14 shenanigans.

That's where I think Hillary will be missed. A strong Democratic leader in the Senate. Fighting for healthcare reform after Teddy leaves.

And will Daschle really come through on healtcare? Or will his lobby friends overpower him?

His intelligence picks are little bit moderate for my liking. Their close ties to MIC is also disturbing. I guess we have to pick our battles one election cycle at a time. There is a lot of damage to undo from bu$h/cheney and it will take time. Hell, as long as their competent... that will work for me.

I did think Hilda Solis was a powerful pick... let's hope no one tries to tie her hands.

Yes, Obama has to kneecap the Republi-cons in Congress (especially the Senate) quick, expose them for the neo-con frauds they are. At a time when we need collaboration they want to push back, slime balls.

Have a great New Year Steve, best wishes to all your family.

With the selection of Warren and the keeping of Favreau, he already has.

Let's see...

During the primary we couldn't criticize Obama because we would be racists if we did that.

During the general election, we couldn't criticize Obama because it was so important to get a Democrat elected, we didn't care that the Democratic candidate was a misogynistic empty suit.

After the election, we can't criticize Obama because he hasn't done anything yet. (We could actually say that about the guy's whole life.)

I wonder what the excuse will be after he's sworn in.

Steve answered you up above: "fuck the conservatives." Your kind fucked up the country and the world for 8 years. Now fuck you. You don't get to say anything, because you're proven failures. Buh-bye, Carolyn, you're history.

Welcome home Steve. You have been dearly missed. I am hoping that "Back to Work" means back to TLC...

I agree.

I am surprised at how much scrutiny that Obama has received. Every breath that the guy takes is examined by the media (and the blogosphere) as to whether or not he has breathed correctly; while Still President Bush continues to get away with murder.

I would love to see just a slight bit of the magnifying glass, that is burning Obama's wings, be diverted to Bush so that we could keep an eye on his criminal behavior.

I welcome you back with excitement and gratitude and anticipation! Thank you for everything Steve.
