Comments: Where’s the Energy Plan?

Paradox, perhaps your sighs and sneers could be pre-empted by actually learning about Chu and
taking a look at the website for the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Years ago, Chu moved away from the sort of physics that won him the Nobel Prize. He left an endowed chair at Stanford to head up
LBL, which has been prominent in a number of areas in pure and applied physics and increasingly in environmental science. I'm appalled that you're not willing to invest a bit of time in actually looking into Chu's accomplishments as a scientific administrator, preferring instead to obsess about how he phrased the "bullets" for some silly press release.

I am as clueless as you as to Chu's political acumen, and perhaps he will just get chewed up and spat out by the GOP oilmen, but isn't it a bit early to draw a judgment about that? And please, do your homework.
