As promised, Shirin has sent me a personal account from a friend in Gaza, and I've posted it here.

O.K. Let's talk about it.

If the shoe was on the other foot, Israel would be screaming about a second Holocaust.

"If the shoe was on the other foot, Israel would be screaming about a second Holocaust."

So true!

In fact, back in February, Israeli Deputy Defense Minister, Matan Vilnai, made a statement to the effect that the Palestinians would experience a Shoah (the Hebrew word for the Holocaust) if the rockets did not stop. I guess what we are seeing now IS that Shoah.

Only the rockets DID stop. They stopped for five months, and they only resumed after Israel attacked inside Gaza and killed six Palestinians.
